The problem with leaving it to January is his value is likely to drop due to a number of factors; having not played, not many significant transfers in January and Spurs will probably made an alternative signing this window. So, whilst I agree with your sentiments we are better to get top dollar for him now and not have him drawing a wage and getting diddly squat in return. I don't think we're that well off to be honest.

Mmm I would say you're on dodgy there. He was comparing the impact on the respective teams that our outgoings had on ours. Many of those you've highlighted were not regular first teamers let alone in the top 5/6 key players.

I can't imagine Cortese dealing with anyone like that. He could only just abide dealing with agents.

Along with Samaras that would be quite a pairing. A tall pairing anyway.

Yes, I think I probably am. Similar coloured kits, well, slightly. lol!

Didn't the RB for Swindon wear No.1 in their only season in the top flight? Or maybe I'm thinking of another season but I'm pretty sure it was Swindon.

Not trying to discredit Spurs at all but by no stretch are they one of the 'worlds biggest clubs' or playing CL football which was your other trump card - which you've now revised to European football. You've at least conceded your argument about international recognition is null. So maybe there are other factors to the exodus as suggested elsewhere in the thread and not quite as 'blatantly' obvious as you might want to myopically believe. Maybe.

Thank you Matthew. Sharp as a tack except for they had no problems getting international recognition at SFC and Spurs are not one of the 'biggest clubs in the world' or playing CL (I note you now say European instead of CL)

So the sales were nothing to do with FFP compliance then. Just disgruntled players which begs the question why?

Sounds like times really are tough. Shame you couldn't have had a drink each.
