  1. #Proud Love the "...we march on" quote from Ronald.
  2. Disagree, it's a fantastic read Thanks for sharing.
  3. Black box says "Yes". *cough*
  4. Black Box says J-Rod *cough*
  5. Despite an abject performance at Villa I strongly fancy us to beat City.
  6. No offence but I'll stick to my original point ;-)

    Crossing

RK alluded to it after last nights match.
  8. No offence but I think I'll side with the management..
  9. Or if Davis doesn't play, JWP does (when fit) and in the near future Reed will be pushing for the same spot. I don't blame us for not rushing into this negotiation. FWIW, I hope he does stay particularly if we do end up with sort of European football next season.
  10. I believe he's on the same / similar money to what he was on here ~ £40K per week.
  11. Excellent post, agree with all points. What does stick out though is that our season was de-railed and yet we finished 8th.... that is some improvement trajectory in 5 years Some perspective is never a bad thing.
  12. It is a good team but it's a Top 8 side. The Munch Suarez was the absolute difference between a Top 8 team and a Champs League side. The Mickeys often point to the stat of the first 10 games of last season - when Suarez was banned - being no different to the avg points gained in the next 28 which has some credence but doesn't explain how awful they now are following his departure and the improvements to the squad. They are bang average, have been for a number of years and will continue to be so.
  13. Very good but not extensive enough, they should also consider Forster, Bertrand and Long. I was staying in the same hotel as Liverpool on Saturday, I was hanging from a superb wedding reception. Whilst sharing a lift back to the rooms with a yoghurt based drink sipping Mignolet it took all my effort not to suggest he shouldn't spill said drink in the lift.
  14. Having watched the Lambert press conference it's no wonder the Villa side are bang up for it all the time...
  15. Isn't Levy married to Lewis's daughter?
  16. Could have been a very different start to the season without the arrival of Toby A. Another first class signing by the recruitment team. Do we have an agreement in place with Atletico similar to the Bertrand deal?
  17. Good point. A top 4 finish would be phenomenal for us, would also mean avoiding the appalling Europa League... #ItsHappenning
  18. Change Management should be being applied off the pitch as well as on. I'm reasonably confident that it is.
  19. Exactly. The organisation of the club, from top to bottom, is set to expect and adapt to change - so far it has done so successfully.
  20. We are very much in the Top 4 race, with an approximate 50% chance of achieving it.
  21. On a different tact the much repeated fact that we've not played and beaten a "top" side yet belittles our victories over West Ham, Swansea, Newcastle and Stoke who occupy 4th, 5th, 8th and 9th places respectively despite them dropping all 3 points against us.
  22. The front 4 of Chelsea has it all, in a game that is very different to when the likes of Ronaldo (who I rate as the best the Prem has seen - not fishing here either ;-) ) Henry, vanHorseFace etc. The 4 Chelsea players mentioned are a balanced, potent attack with an average age of 25 - if they stay together they could end up there as the best. I do enjoy watching them play, Costa and Cesc being the perfect purchases for them. The Aguero, Silva, Negredo etc were fantastic last season but please leave Nasri out of this - Navas has it to prove as well. Negredo and Aguero didn't work together, despite the frightening prospect they offer. I'd have to disagree with the 3 Mickeys you've included, I can't see Sterling or Sturridge getting in a team ahead of Costa or Hazard / Oscar. No argument on Suarez though. It's all about opinions, if Chelsea don't dominate the Premier League for the next 3 years I'd be very surprised.
  23. Tell me about the journey here from "No, it's really not" to "might get 3rd.." Not sure why people are doubting that Costa, Hazard, Oscar and Cesc could not be up there with the very best. Opinions, I guess, my opinion is that they could end up being the best.
  24. A long term injury to Terry and/or Cahill could make things interesting (assuming we don't suffer the same misfortune). Their front 4 is possibly the best the Prem has ever seen.
