  1. Good post and I sgree, Papa was only ever a sub and Antonio was not first choice ahead of Puncheon. Watch out for Oxo kid this next season
  2. Now I now why you don't go to games, paying for two seats can be expensive........
  3. I had this problem as well but fortunately I was down that neck of the woods at the weekend and bought my Large shirt, i used to be xxl. I also noticed they are not doing a female shirt so had to buy my daughter a small boys When I enquired about the female shirt no-one knew why they were not doing one. Strange as we have a very big female following
  4. I didn't need a letter just like all those thousands who have already renewed, did you tell your mate
  5. Btw tell your mate they are not sending out renewal letters but he still has 17 days to renew his tickets. Surely if all he needs is a letter of intent then your word of mouth should be equally good enough as a reminder
  6. Yip and the fact we have sold more season tickets than last season yet still three more weeks to sell, guess you will have to wait for your letter before you renew eh
  7. Was about 23,000 I think
  8. Must be difficult running a business without a pc. We all know when the season starts so why the renewal? I really don't know what you are saying here.
  9. Did you see Antonio or Papa play last season? The oxo kid looks a good prospect and will probably be on the bench this season as back up for Puncheon. Antonio missed a period through injury towards the end of last season and during that period we won 5 and lost 2 scoring 18 goals during that period, did we miss him? Papa didn't start many games whatsoever and most of his goals were scored in cup games. Would be nice to have them back but I won't miss them, Connelly is now back in the squad after injury so we have enough firepower so it's not like we need another striker considering we will only play two up front at most. Puncheon and the oxo kid will occupy the right side so all we need now is another backup for CM.
  10. I've highlighted this one as I cannot understand where you are coming from, everyone knows when the season starts so don't need reminding ffs. As for maximising sales, season ticket sales are already higher than last years and we have 3 weeks to go before closure. Your only valid point is put them on sale earlier but most fans will buy no matter when, I would like to hear your "many more ways to maximise sales"
  11. People can see the bigger picture hence the upload in season ticket sales. You cannot grasp the fact that we have higher sales and we still have 17 days to go before the end of sales. Your estimation was well down, not slightly as you put it, you can dress it up all you want Dave but we have sold more than the last few seasons and that is fact. Whether you like it or not the fans will only come back if we are successful, seems we are expecting some success this season with the sales at the moment.
  12. Yes but are they quality or players just to make the numbers up
  13. The voice of reason. I agree our first 11 will be hard to beat, yes we will have injuries and suspensions but all teams will have this not just us. We are maybe lacking in a CM as back up but I suspect AP has his targets anyway. I am certainly looking forward to the season ahead full of confidence. Pity a few on here cannot see further than their half empty glass
  14. You know this as fact do you? Puncheon was consistant last season but you wouldn't know that from your armchair. You do realise it's not only Southampton that will have injuries or players having an off day, we might only beat Huddeersfield 3-0 this season and not 5-0, a game Puncheon scored in
  15. 30% higher than your expectations with 3 weeks to go, not a million miles no but certainly way above your estimation
  16. Ha ha yip nailed my colours to the mast, looks like you was wrong AGAIN. Check my post above about the first 5 games then come back and admit you was wrong when the attendances are higher.
  17. 20K season tickets in division 3? You're having a laugh. We have already exceeded your expectations with still 3 weeks to go, now you are twisting things to suit your own argument. Here is a list of the first 5 games last season, keep an eye on the figures and see if we don't beat these, however if the attendances are higher you will no doubt say they are fictitious should they be higher Millwall: 20,101 Brentford: 19,169 Colchester: 17,070 Yeovil: 19,907 Bristol R: 19,724
  18. Thomas started 10 league games last season most at RB, a position we struggled with and tried many players at. We have since signed two RB's who may be more affecdtive, only time will tell but just like your statement about Gillettt moving up a league the same can be said about a championship player dropping a league clearly believing he will be back in that league within a year. Gillett clearly wasn't in AP's plans and that is why he didn't start any games for us last season and only made a couple of sub appearances. Of all the players we released only three players featured in more than a handful of games and we have signed three players since with more to come I would imagine, That suggests to me we are not weaker from the last day of last season.
  19. Then if he was that good why didn't AP start him in more games? Yes sometimes he made an impact but most games he came on too late in the game to make an impact. As for Wotton, he played in the JPT final, seemed to of done a good job then but thats the same as Waigo, few games few judgments.
  20. Err no, most games he came on towards the end when the game was already conclusive but some games when we needed him to change the game, it didn't actually happen. The games he came on earlier he made not much difference. If you think any different that is your opinion but I know what I saw in him.
  21. I suggest you look up his record before passing judgment, something you clearly haven't done yet. Never won anything? You're having a laugh.
  22. Yip I agree, Pardew and Cortese out.....
  23. We can speak on behalf of our players, we pay their wages
  24. Interesting but Waigo didn't start many games and when he came on it didn't change many things. As for Antonio whilst we shall miss him an interesting fact was towards the end of the season he was out injured for seven games or left on the bench and we won five of those and lost two. We scored 18 goals and conceded 6, did we really miss him?
