Expect there are a few on here that follow a certain team or league from the continent? If so who or what is yours & ever been over for a game?

Carlisle on the train

T'was heaving when we were there this season, easily 25 mins wait for a beer if not longer. The spoons in the town centre on the other hand was quiet, decent beer at cheap prices & it also happened to be steak night which was taken full advantage of. -

Already taken care of this! -
Not necessarily, if we were getting an average of say 19k & they were getting full houses every game then theirs would be higher than ours. At the moment they can't even fill a 19.5k capacity stadium, what hope they'd have in a 32k i don't know!

There are engineering works in London at weekend which will affect the few of us that are getting the greyhound coach up to Victoria but all we need to do is get the District or Circle along to Embankment & then the Northern up to Euston. Those getting into Waterloo won't be affected atall. So teh programme is indeed talking nonsense -
Meh, we should have had 2 stonewall penalties in against Birmingham a few weeks ago anyway.

197-2 now from 38 overs.

On behalf of saint_bert His guess is Timmy Mallett.

Now getting the 5.10 greyhound coach service from Southampton to London Victoria for £1 & then the train back which when booked on advance fare to Brock costs £5.80 with a rail card. Having already got advance fare tickets from Euston to Carlisle for £18, the total cost of Southampton to Carlisle return has come to £26. Maximum w00tage! -
Thought i'd put this on here as could save anybody who goes to away games in London on the train a lot of money. Greyhound coaches offer £2 return from Southampton to London Victoria. Not tried them yet but apparently they offer extra leg room, reclining seats, wifi...etc Going to try them out soon, could save a load of cash throughout the season!

Can't we just give up 1 day cricket? Yesterday was so painful to watch it was untrue, thank god the football was on in the evening.

44/92 so just under half. New ones this season for me are going to be Leeds & Gillingham.

Still remember it vividly till this day. I was in my 2nd week of starting secondary school, getting home & being glued to the TV for hours. Watching or reading anything about it still gives me goosebumps now. Shocking stuff. -

Well deserved, been brilliant every game I've seen him. Superb signing on a free transfer, keep it up Dan. -

+1. As already posted, the spoons in Swindon town centre was good, lovely steaks & cheap beer.

Looking at the games we've got, I'd say that any less than 10 would be a disaster & any less than 12 dissapointing. Colchester, Yeovil & Bristol Rovers at home all must be won, no questions. Would take a point at Charlton but think we'll lose there so need a win at Carlisle. That would be a good month.

The Rome derby is not for the faint hearted either, nor for that matter is Roma - Juve

Really good performance from the lads last night & i firmly believe had Murty not been forced off through injury that we'd have gone on to win the game & lets not forget the team that Birmingham put out last night was a very strong one. We looked dangerous going forward all the time, especially with Harding & Lallana linking up well on the left. Defended well too & when they did breach our defence Super Kelv was there as usual to make some great stops. Markings out of 10: Davis - 7, Not really at fault for either goal, made some great saves especially the one in the first half from the free kick. Murty - 7, Was having an excellent game until he was forced off through injury. As soon as he went off the difference was noticeable straight away. Hope he's not out for a long time, going to be a big loss. Thomas - 6, Was having a decent game but the 1st goal was down to him messing around with the ball & not clearing it. Perry - 6.5, Played well but his age caught up with him in the end. Invaluable experience tho. Harding - 8.5, Superb game once again & my MOTM, solid defending & excellent going forward. Some of the crosses he put in during the first half deserved somebody on the end of to put the ball in the net. Why a championship club didn't snap him up before us is beyond me. Mellis - 6.5, Had a decent game, obvious potential there but too lightweight at times. Unlucky not to put us 2 up. James - 6.5, Was having a very good game at CM but he just is not a right back. Wotton - 6.5, After his woeful performance at Swindon, thought he had one of his better games tonight. Lallana - 8, Played very well linking up with Harding on left & scored a peach of a goal. More of the same please Adam. Lambert - 7, Good game, held the ball up really well bringing others into the play, could have done better to get on the end of some of the crosses Harding was putting in tho. Saganowski - 7, Thought he had a really good game, always chasing down their players & tracking back, quite why some idiots behind me were slagging him off i've no idea after the work rate he put in last night. Subs Gillett - 6, Did ok when he came on. Schneiderlin & Paterson came on too late to make much of an impact. If we can show the same sort of application, running & effort for the rest of the season then we'll be fine.
