Would disagree about Harding not getting the byline, he has on many occasions this season done so & whipped in some great balls only for nobody to be in the 6 yard box. Murty was also good on the over lap. Lloyd James however, as good a crosser of the ball that he is just lumps it in from anywhere. Could not understand Holmes not coming on last night. Mellis was gash & should have come off a lot earlier than he did, but why Pardew didn't bring Holmes on who looked good when he came on against Carlisle on Saturday i don't know. Lallana is excellent behind Lambert, but as has already been posted when he goes out wide he's completly ineffective. Pards needs to find a way to build the team around both Lallana & Lambert whilst playing 2 up front. Having thought about this, the only way i see possible is to play a wing back formation with Lallana behind 2 strikers. Harding can easily do a wing back job at left back, not quite sure we have anybody to do it on the right though. Anyway, here goes... -----------------------Davis----------------------- ------------Thomas----Jaidi----Trottman----------- Murty---------------------------------------Harding ------------Hammond----------Schnerderlin--------- -----------------------Lallana---------------------- --------------Lambert----------Papa--------------- Not going to happen i suspect, but would like to see it given a go.

Some interesting teams & stories as to why they are you teams! I started following Roma about 6 years ago. Went to Rome on holiday, loved the place, got a Roma shirt & then saw them play on TV back home when Serie A was on Eurosport. Played some excellent football back then under Capello so it just grew from there, been over for about 10 games since & going up to London in a few weeks for the Fulham game in the Europa League. Also follow Serie A & Italian football in general, would like to go and see a Roma game at the San Siro some time soon. Certainly interested in going to a few games in Eastern Europe somewhen in the future, can imagine its mental in Greece, Turkey...etc

Indeed. Apart from that though it was great, never had so much leg room!

Great win for Fiorentina last night, really didn't see that coming. lol @ sky trying to cover up Liverpool's failures by bleating on about how no English team have ever scored in Florence when tbf Arsenal & United were up against a Fiorentina team that contained Batistuta at the time & a lot better than the current side who are in truth pretty average, from what is an average league at the moment.

Balotelli is a arrogant little sh*t.

England are playing next Saturday too which has probably had a say in them moving the game to Friday night.

How long will you give Pardew to get a second win?

5 of those 6 were draws though, this is the main problem we appear to be having. Untill we can learn how to kill teams off ala last night then we are going to draw/lose more games than we win. We need to go on another unbeaten run of 6 games of so, but this time 5 of them being wins would be good. -

Got to win on Saturday fo sho. Results simply have to start picking up NOW, carry on with 1 win from 10 all season and we'll be playing in league 2 next season. -
Think we'll beat Gillingham, lose at Southend, draw at Oldham, draw with MK Dons & win at Leyton Orient. So 8 points & still in the relegation zone come November & more than likely still bottom.

Thought the atomsphere was generally good from both sets of fans last night, Northam especially for about the first 15/20 mins was excellent.

I assume we are talking about the same Lambert that provided the assist for the first goal & then actually did score the 2nd no?

his tactics do seem bizarre at times but as has already been said we have changed enough managers over the last few years and look what good it has done us. The guy didnt even have a pre season so we need to cut him some slack and give him longer than 10 games ffs
-
as soon as lallana missed that sitter to make it 3-1 i turned to my mate next to me and said that would cost us. What angers me most is that i seem to have said this far too many times already this season and the more i say it the less it surprises me that we lose like this. New owners, new manager and new players but the mentality within this club never seems to change at it is still killing us.

i was thinking about this earlier too, could be "interesting" tonight if last time we played them up there was anything to go by!

2-1 Saints -
You could get the greyhound coach from Victoria for a quid, don't know how much it would then be single back from Soton Central.

+1, slept most of the day today too! Was a great day yesterday, must of had about 15 cans on the train in the end! Lovely fish & chips in the wetherspoons too! Loved being able to run across the black netting when we scored but not get thrown out for it too! -

Can't freaking wait for tomorrow! Not been as excited about an away game in ages, going to be a lot of hammered people getting off the train in Carlisle me thinks! -
Sri Lanka recovered slightly but just lost another wicket, 81-5.
-
Now 17-3, great start from England.
-
Sri Lanka 7-2 from 2.3 overs!
