Got that week off, won't be staying the night though. Best train deal i've found so far is £13.20 return by buying a seperate return ticket from Soton to Basingstoke & then from Basingstoke to Swindon. This is based on having a 16-25 railcard tho. Hope to be getting up there about 3ish, already checked out the wetherspoons & other pubs, seem to be plenty in the vicinity of the station anyway! Looking forward to it.

Still, if people are willing to "waste" it then it's all additional revenue for the club.

So do you think its worth keeping or should it be scrapped? If mods can make this a poll after a few weeks i'll send it onto David Luker. Cheers.

Think the club shoudl continue with them, again like stadium sponsorship...etc it's extra revenue which could actually now be spent on signings rather than paying the stadium mortgage!

From what I've seen of Lancashire he isn't good enough, would rather him sent out on loan to a L2 or BSQP team & somebody else bought in. I posted earlier to no reply asking if Alan Bennett has been signed by anybody yet? He was at Brentford on loan last season & released by Reading in the summer, now he'd be good backup and on a free as well. Then just another left back & we'd be sorted.

Wasn't Sturrock's first game though. Riise own goal was in the 1st season at SMS. Sturrock's first game was the 2 nil win V L'pool in 03/04.

Concentrate on keeping Kelvin first but agree, this should be the first signing.

2 nil win at SMS in 03/04 season, Phillips & Beattie scored & Niemi also saved a penalty from Owen. There was also a 3-3 draw at the Dell when we come from 3 nil down to draw, late 90's. I'm sure older fans will have a lot more memories from the past!

On the shopping list should be a new CB, new LB, new RM & LM. Anybody know whether Alan Bennett has been signed by anybody yet? He'd be good back up to have in League 1 & give us a 4th CB assuming we sign Saeijs. Sign Murty & thats RB sorted, just need a LB to compete with Mills. Definatly need a new right winger, Thomson is not up to a first team role imo, Holmes will do well next season but we need another LW to compete with him. Finally 1 more striker assuming Saga goes & we can keep Rasiak & John. Rickie Lambert from Bristol Rovers should be our no1 target imo, would be a fantastic signing.
