Seems ridiculous if that's true. We've for years made massive sales and havent spent anywhere near as much as a lot of other teams. Even Bournemouth have spent around £200 million in the past 2 seasons and recouped about £1 million! Weren't Everton on the brink of FFP points deductions for ages and then just casually dropped £30 million on two strikers? Always feels like Saints are the only club to ever worry about this whilst every other club can spend whatever they choose! 🤣🤔

It is very annoying. How often do the players just run at goal and take a shot? It's almost like their scared to take on the responsibility to score the goal. I seem to remember this was a common theme when we had the youngsters running around under the Dutch duo - passing it around on the edge of the box, beating a man, passing it 6 yards to someone else, pass again, get tackled, opposition break away and we know the rest...
-
How sad that after Selles, we have another manager who insists on ignoring any positive or creative players for their favourites. Sadly, Martin's favourites like to pass the ball a hundred times and stroll around, but don't like to tackle or score goals (or complete a pass when there's opposition players lurking for a breakaway).
-
And with this in mind - stop making very risky passes at the back, and leaving slow players at the back to be outpaced on the counter (when we lose the ball from overplaying it again, and again, and again).
-
Abu looks a decent footballer on the ball, but awful positionally. Could say he may not be the Cho$en one. Amo-Ameyaw off injured (hopefully just cramp). Wouldn't have been in the squad tomorrow anyway by the looks of things. Doyle continues to look pretty good.

I wouldnt write him off just yet, after 3 bad results. Whilst he's picked some fairly dodgy lineups(!), this hasn't been helped by half of them being new to the team (either being thrown in or seemingly held back after being thrown in - see Holgate), and some of our better players being injured (Alcaraz, Sulemana, Bedders and Stephens). Hopefully Charles playing centre back is over now we've got Janny B back fit, Holgate getting upto speed and Harwood-Bellis playing, and we can move Charles into a proper defensive midfielder position, drop Smallengine (in honour of his top speed of around 7mph) and get Sulemana starting games with Stewart up front in the hopefully not too distant future. Hopefully he's seen the full back positions arent working great, and getting that right in the system is quite vital, we need to be solid, whilst getting the ball to players who will make things happen (Alcaraz, Sulemana and Edozie), giving Adams or Stewart some good opportunities to put the ball in the net, whilst all 3 of those will be chipping in with goals. He obviously has to play them to make this work though! We all want him to succeed right?

Pretty much hit all the points! Get a proper captain. Pick the best players and put them in their proper positions. Stop messing around with it trying hundreds of really risky passes until something goes wrong. How many times does this need to happen and we lose before this is taken on board?
-
Really? I was watching with a couple of neutrals and they said he looked like easily our most dangerous player. He outdid Justin for pace (who is a very quick full back) a couple of times, knocking it past players and still getting the ball where he shouldnt have been anywhere near getting!
-
I’m hoping that it comes out that he was playing through injury on Friday only because his running pace makes JWP look like Sulemana
-
We should be, absolutely terrible decision and can’t see how it wouldn’t be rescinded.
-
Smallbone and Downes should never play as a centre midfield pair again, awful, with Smallbone especially poor. Sulemana was a breath of fresh air when he came on, and Alcaraz should probably start. Manning was poor too. That red card will surely be rescinded?!
-
That was a truly woeful performance, Leicester just ran past him with ease! Really really poor tonight, hope he’s just unfit as had zero pace and can’t tackle…
-
Sulemana and Alcaraz should be two of the best players in the division. Hoping Martin doesn't treat Sully like Selles did!
-
A terrible goalkeeper, but pretty damn good going forward
-
This should read the number of players these named players have dribbled past, not that people are running rings around Jack Clarke and KWP. It basically tells us what we know, KWP is a great attacking full back, and Edozie is a great dribbler.
-
It says paid subscribers. Do they ever still stream these on the Saints YouTube or similar?
-
Roberts is a winger not a striker so he'd be the Tella replacement if he came in. Money's on the currently crocked Stewart!
-
Harwood-Bellis in with Holgate, and ABK staying, whilst shifting Caleta-Car, Lyanco and 'higher level' Janny B would be the dream scenario.
-
Surely if we let Adams go and sign Stewart it'll be in addition to another striker. We know that Onuachu isnt going to play, Mara is not really in favour and Armstrong is much better playing off another striker. Would Sulemana play up top on his own?! I'll be shocked (in a good way) if he's still here in a weeks time though!
-
Where is Perraud? Far better than Manning on the 3 or 4 games played
-
Hopefully this will stop the haters of one of our most talented, but still very young and inexperienced, players
-
Just coming back from injury, not sure if may have played in the closed doors friendly. Personally thought he looked like a very promising player, thrown into a bit of a disaster, just small and lightweight, but would suit a passing style for sure.
-
Not keen on Fraser - terrible attitude from the sounds of it, and that's not the sort of person we need around a young squad. A good player on his day (3 years ago?!), but Edozie has done fine in the matches so far and I'd say on the wing we (currently) have plenty of options.
-
Would mean KWP is off I guess, as pretty sure he plays right back rather than centre back?
-
I think there might be quite a strong family connection with Everton for Che unfortunately…
