SAA has much more natural talent than Sims though. I'd say Meghoma looked very assured the couple of games he actually did play last year, especially when it was at times when Manning was struggling. Amo-Ameyaw has always looked dangerous and skillful when he's played and will make things happen. Should've made some more appearances both this season and last at least off the bench to help him develop. Hopefully any loan move sees him get some good experience at a decent level, as think he could be a big player for us next season.

Exact same situation as Meghoma. Very talented young player who Martin did almost everything to ignore, signed extra players who are no better in the same position (in this case see Fraser and Cornet) and ends up wasting the talent. Could’ve seen SAA having a similar impact as Dibling, but imagine he’ll leave now.

Yes, they're low cost players, but there's much more that goes into the cost of a transfer, including their signing on fees, salary (which I bet Saints are subsidising some of), the actual cost of negotiating the transfer and agents fees etc, which could've been put into a single better player to help Saints now. This probably includes other signings like Edwards, Wood, Taylor, Cornet and Fraser - we probably would've been as strong with signing only one of those and putting the rest of the fees to a single standout player of the quality of Fernandes.

Is this for real?! All of these players, we would've been better off just getting one £20 million midfielder or striker than 5 players for Goztepe in the hope one might come good... How many are they allowed from one club? I guess the Lis transfer was a gift (cheers!) and then Matzuki and Juan on loan, and Victor Hugo our option to buy but playing for them? Is it because we can't get work permits for the others? Presumably Kayi Sanda no problem on that front.

I think the problem is that Taylor has taken on a bit too much responsibility for the results and is trying to do a bit too much, meaning he's making mistakes and not trusting the others around him. Getting him into a back 4 or with a more comfortable team (preferably with much better protection from midfield) will do him good.

Has Kayi Sanda signed yet? Not overly promising that he perhaps hasn't been at his best this season, but at 18 years old, it's very young for a centre back and as the French u19 captain he must have something about him!
