Well that was absolute garbage and possibly one the most gutless performances over the last few years. The honeymoon period is well and truly over. I am amazed long is starting. A striker who just can’t score, can’t hold up and ball and falls over instead of attempting to be strong. Ings was always going to be a risky acquisition due to his injury record but to have long as your go to striker is an absolute delusional decision. When you are in a relegation battle you need players who may only get one chance and I wouldn’t trust long whatsoever. Why Ralph picks him is anyone’s guess. Our club has been run shockingly. It isn’t ever going to improve whilst gao is our owner. He obviously isn’t going to invest anything in the team. He needs to go, he’s had a very easy ride this far. Finally what was that from elynoussi? I can’t even be bothered to spell his name right. Just garbage without a football brain. How did he end up on the pitch. This is how low our club has fallen. Incompetence all over. So ****ed off right now.

And to think he is our no 1 go to striker...... how the feck did the club allow that to happen.
-
Shane longs hold and play and decision making in the last 5 mins was a total embarrassment. Had opportunity to run the bad into the corner. When Burnley’s bench was so much stronger than ours there is an issue. A point isn’t a bad result but anything less than a win next Saturday and we’re looking worryingly like candidates again. Need Bertrand back in that team.
-
Jesus.... we’d be completely screwed if Austin had gone.
-
It’s sad that you have to criticise a player but he’s so poor and offers absolutely nothing whatsoever. No pace, no vision, can’t pass and can’t score. Dreadful signing and just blocking a space in the squad. If Ralph can’t see this then it’s conerning. Hoedt would probably be more effective

Derby v Saints (FA Cup - 3rd Round) Build Up and match thread

Moi Elyounoussianonymous Its been pretty poor around really. -
Like having 10 players on the pitch. He's got no pace, no trickery, no pokery and easily muscled off the ball. Absolutely no idea what he brings to the team. Well done les,
-
I’d stick with lemina tomorrow. He seems to raise his performance against the bigger teams.
-
I was sat pretty much in line with some of the decisions and the Lino wasn’t keeping up. There appeared to be three or four times when Arsenal players were 3 yards offside. As for Bertrand I think he’s quality but he’s struggled under poor managers. With redmond looking better I think Bertrand will improve. I’ll take Bertrand over targett in the team any time.
-
we realistically need a quality central defender, creative midfielder, pace from wide and a striker... not gonna happen. Goa won’t spend as he hasn’t the cash. Relegation will hopefully screw him over and teach him to get involved in something he’s clueless about. The problem is that non playing staff will lose their jobs, this down to the complete incompetence of reed, Wilson and Krueger. Kat Liebherr has completely done us good and proper.
-
Vestergaard and targett should never wear that shirt again. No chance we are staying up unless we blow about 100m in January. Worst squad in years. Two pens not given didn’t help but we don’t earn the luck.
-
We’ve knocked it about ok but just lack someone with that killer pass and someone who can finish. Targett just isn’t good enough.

Bargain hunt with subtitles.... how low we’ve fallen.

Depressing week to get worse.

Are You deluded? It was Fulham we were playing today. Hughes hasn’t improved this team whatsoever. He needs to go on the basis that he thinks hoedt is worth a starting place. When we make a sub the team has no method of play. We are garbage and our owner is a total bellend who she have never touched the club. Out of his depth. Kat sold us down the river. Rant over...
-
Should be sacked based that he still thinks hoedt is worth a starting place. Hughes will say we deserved more and we probably did but Fulham were poor. think times for Hughes.
-
I remember that day. We went to Bristol and won 4-0... when we got off the train we heard rumours that pardew had gone. To be honest I quite liked pardew but something went very wrong.
-
We are screwed with an owner that simply isn’t going to invest within the team. Future looks dire.
-
Hanging on for a point against Watford says it all. We were terrible for much of that match. Team has absolutely no confidence. If we stay with Hughes I can’t see anything changing. Sack and replace may not make any difference. But nothing to lose. If Ings injury is bad we are screwed. Club is a shambles.
-
Fck me... positively the most gutless 20 mins I’ve ever experienced watching saints. Defending shambolic, can’t keep the ball. Everyone out now...
-
Yeah I accept that...

At the fans forum Krueger stated that gao’s policy would be to acquire players via player sales. Well we haven’t exactly got any prized assets to sell. So can't see any squad development forthcoming. Main issues are dire managerial appointments, keeping pellegrino for too long, Reed is 100% to blame for this. Been screaming out for a decent striker, pace and creativity for 3 seasons and we’ve gone into this season with a bang average squad. Bournemouth light years ahead of us.
-
Such a terrible thing to have happened. Thoughts to all those involved.
-
That was pretty predictable again... and a really worrying sign that we couldn’t beat a very poor Newcastle team. Today was the first time I’ve started to lose confidence in Hughes. To this point I’ve believed that it simply was due to having a very poor squad to work with and the problems were purely down to extremely poor player additions. But today Hughes got his tactics Terribly wrong. Elyounoussi Is very average and offers nothing, no trickery no pace and today some very poor decision making. I think we are carrying him at present. He should have been subbed a lot earlier and redmond put back to his normal position with Bertrand. Atmosphere is depressing at st marys. Club seems in a right mess and a stay away owner who isn’t interested in taking the club forward. He’s being fed by two complete bellends in reed and Krueger who still seem to getting a very easy ride. Just depressing and no idea what has to happen to change things. Bournemouth seem light years ahead of us.

Southampton's wretched home form a recipe for relegation
madge replied to SuperSAINT's topic in The Saints
The recruitment has been a shambles... we lack pace and power. How reed and Wilson can’t see this is unbelievable. Absolutely no creativity since loosing Tadic. How the hell are we going to score enough goals to keep us up. Don’t get me started on the defence.
