How often did we see properly hit corners like that from him?
-
I have doubts about this game. Plymouth has tended to be a ground where we draw - ok we did win last time. It is also my birthday. And I have had so many unhappy birthdays thanks to Saints. I would take a draw.
-
I would though defy anyone to have sucked up Watford scoring a late equaliser against us by blatant handball
-
Richard Wright was a very good loan signing. But we shouldn't overlook the contribution of Kevin Miller either. He came in at the end of the 2005/6 season when I was quite worried about relegation and in 7 games with him in goal we won 5 and drew 1.

I still hanker for the days when there were no transfer windows and just a single transfer deadline day in March

It sounds really great. But the officials will manage to interpret the guidelines in such a way to make a farce of things. -
Will season ticket prices be released now and will you renew?
Kenilworthy replied to Paul Chuckle's topic in The Saints
No, not all of those, Just one would have done. -
Has anyone received their tickets for AZ in the post?

So "the gift" was just a badge. It says on the packaging that sustainability is at the heart of this pack. So why have they sent three separate packages to our house when they could all have gone in one small envelope. -
Absolutely. I predict 6th after a very rocky start.

Wasn't it the transfer deadline day in 1982? He was still with Forest on deadline day 1981. I did hear that the senior players, including Alan Ball, implored Lawrie to sign Francis when we were top of the table as he would have added the extra we needed to win the league.

Done. Also as a pedant, Brighton have played home games at four locations since the war as when they left the Goldstone Ground they had two seasons at Gillingham. -
Leicester at home on a Friday on SKY. What could possibly go wrong?
-
Exactly. There were many saying we should look forward to the Championship because the games would be at 3pm on Saturdays and tickets would be cheaper.

Generally if driving go up past Sheffield to junction 36 of the M1 and come back down on the A61. Feels like you will have gone out of your way, but better than driving through the centre of Sheffield. There is a reasonable amount of parking around the ground, or at least there was. Or you could park at Meadowhall for free - just off the M1 - and get the tram that will take you almost to the away entrance. -

I predict we will look good and dominate the game. And Sheffield Wednesday will win 1-0 through a stupid goal. -
Andrew Surman was sold to Wolves to play in the Premier League, not Norwich. You also do a bit of a disservice to Chris Perry who played well over 50 games for Saints and was a decent player in difficult circumstances.

We have his natural successor in John Brooks.
-
He was the David Elleray of the new millennium, only even worse.

Let's hope we are ready to "test their resolve" using our "war chest"

I really thought JWP was bound to leave. But perhaps he is having doubts having seen that the realistic options are not as attractive as he hoped for? Yes Fulham and West Ham will put him back in the Premier League and on more money but they are not really taking him to the higher level that a move to say Spurs would have done.

Well Dyson are used to flogging over-priced and over-hyped stuff. So he is well suited to the world of football
-
What did the people telling us how good it was going to be in the Championship think was going to happen? There is going to be a lot more pain before things get better.

I was surprised there is interest from Newcastle in a player who has played not one full first team game since coming back from a really nasty injury. But as a club owned by one of the richest nations in the world the financial risk to them is tiny. If he is not the player he was they drop say £20 million on transfer fee and wages. If he has made a full recovery they have a cheap player and have stopped rivals getting him. Sadly it makes perfect sense.

Also very unlucky. But for cheating at Watford seen by everyone but the officials he would have come away with a morale-boosting 3 points
