Must have been impressed by his finishing at Molineux

I absolutely love KWP but really hope he doesn't go back to Spurs. He deserves a proper club where he might win something

The club's agents PowerHaus consultancy said it would "rationalise and create enhanced fan zone experiences external to the stadium". "Many of the club's supporters lobby the club to provide spectator facilities for other sporting and entertainment events at the club, as such venues encourage fans to gather and enjoy the sporting spectacles across a number of yearly events," it said. Many? I would guess the correct wording is "hardly any"

Going back to the Chris Nicholl era we had a problem with missing penalties. So he got in a specialist penalty coach from Holland. We then went a long time without missing - that did include the MLT era, but also Dodd.

I have to say that the £47 ticket price and seeing the home fans leaving well before the end was actually good value!

It could have happened again quite recently had we not failed to turn up for the semi-final in 2018 and 2021. But the value of the FA Cup has been so devalued that it would not have been the same. In 76 it actually was world shattering news because the final at Wembley had global importance. Now it doesn't have the same impact. Which is something I use to console myself over 2008. That tainted victory over a lower division side really didn't impress the world.

Its a bit harsh to describe Cedric as a dud. While he wasn't at the same level as Clyne he was an important player in 2015/16, a season we are unlikely to see us match any time soon and won the Euros.

Are the "bolt ons" they are offering going to replace the current discount that season ticket holders get on merchandise?
-
How long is the work likely to take? Wondering if the plan is to have it ready for the home leg of the playoff, which is nearly three weeks.

I have a feeling that in our history we may have conceded more hat-tricks than any other club.
-
But do we really want to be a Stoke. That is where the future lies if we stay in this division.
-
You can criticise the manager for not being able to read the way the game was flowing like we could in the stands. When it was clear we were unlikely to score again due to wastefulness and some exceptional saves you react by closing the game down to ensure you don't concede, which is not helped by creating a shapeless midfield you could drive a bus through.

Before the Rotherham game myself and my two boys had a drink and a long chat with Joe Rothwell's dad. He is very clear that he sees himself as a number 10. So why don't we play him there instead of deep midfield where he is worse than useless. My view is that Brooks is a potentially fine player but just not a fit for us in the Championship,

They do cover a lot there. Interesting about the fully digital ticket system for next season. Assume that we will then be able to get tickets for cup games digitally as well.

It isn't going to stop here. Next step will be for the big clubs to avoid the inconvenience of being knocked out at the early stages and seeded in to the later rounds/

It could now possibly be Norwich in play offs.
Kenilworthy replied to Andrew Watson's topic in The Saints
Its a horrible prospect. Carrow Road on a Monday Evening, a place where we tend to play well but the worst player on the pitch (like Redmond) scores the winner for Norwich. The blessing is the away leg will be first -
The Teaser ad says 07.24 - so some time in July - but will have to be before the first friendly game
-
Isn't this time for Saints to step up and absorb the £17 difference on what we charged Leeds?
-
If we make the final I think we could beat Ipswich as VAR would undermine their brutal game, But we have to make every effort to finish 4th so we are home in the second leg of the semi final.
-
I think VAR is used in the play-off final. If it is then it would be best for us to play Ipswich as VAR would undermine their brutal game, especially Morsy who would be off before halftime. Although i don't expect us to win the semi-final, as our history is based on losing at that stage.

The Rotherham keeper has looked brilliant against us. But that might be the Jonathan Gould factor ie a keeper who only plays well against us. Bazunu is picked for ability to play it out from the back, but let's be frank, he isn't even that good at that. Time and again the dithering causes panic. There are a host of keepers who would be better shot stoppers at this level. The point about an experienced mentor is well made. When Burridge was signed he actually said that his mission was to make Flowers the number one keeper.

I am astonished that anyone has been looking at what Wilcox hasn't achieved at Saints and thinks "we'll have some of that..."
-
the one thing we can be sure of is that it is very unlikely that another team will want to take him. I think it would be reasonable to give him a second season but if we are not looking set for automatic promotion by the end of the year he will be gone.
-
I guess they might not be marked down until they know if we are going to Wembley as that would boost sales

Sargent is a good shout. While he feels like a very poor player he is capable of scoring at this level and causes us problems. Norwich did though spend about £8 million on him, so he would not be cheap. Maybe we should look at getting Chris Wood from Forest as well.
