  1. I think that’s the only clear message here. He must 100% be going, which isn’t a surprise with his release clause.
  2. So no THB, Downes, Dibling or Matsuki - all of which had reported injuries.
  3. 11am flight this morning, I believe.
  4. Looked like Ederson had been interested in a move to Saudi last couple of windows, now Turkey this window. Seems to be chasing one last pay day. For City he has 1 year left but €3m is crazy cheap for Ederson.
  5. He really does have previous for this. How many times did we hear about random fans he bumped into walking around the area telling him that they fully supported his philosophy and understood what he was doing. I’m sure it’s a coincidence that it was SAF’s first visit to their training ground, rather than it being out of huge support for Russell Martin. Pretty cool for Russ though to have some conversations with a manager that achieved it all.
  6. Decent signings, you can see the gap in ambition between them and Birmingham though. I don’t expect Wrexham to be challenging for playoffs.
  7. Always beat us to players 😂, this one we can live with being a former skate.
  8. I live up north so only manage a couple of home games a season. Usually do 8-10 aways a season on a membership. I’m fine with season ticket holders having preference, they attend more games total so that’s fair. What I did notice last season was some games that always went to membership the whole time I’ve been going, sold out to ST holders. So I missed out on Wolves and City away tickets but then managed to buy some from fans who bought to sell on… What wasn’t fair was the League cup final where I had 12 games total, 2 home and 10 away (including the away semi final - what a night!), but members with just any 3 home games got preference. In no world was that fair, I did get a ticket when they released an extra small allocation but I was really annoyed when I initially missed out. Not had that problem since, think the club realised it was stupid. Last time out in the championship as a member I did miss out on Birmingham and Leeds aways. I’m sure there will be some midlands/northern ones that don’t make it again, still worth having the membership though IMO.
  9. Rubén Sánchez is an important player for Espanyol's squad, and the club would not want to part with him in this transfer window, but it also depends on the offers that may come in. The parties would not consider a new loan. Several clubs are inquiring about Rubén: Rayo, Oviedo, Sassuolo, and Southampton are some of those keeping tabs on him.
  10. I think Reading and Hull fans thought he did a decent job at their clubs. He came in as a very well respected coach to be Ralph’s assistant, Saints interim manager role was jumping straight in at the deep end. How he does with a championship parachute payment team in Sheffield United, will be a good gauge of his level. Unnecessary risk swapping Wilder out IMO but we will find out if it was a bad call soon.
  11. At least the black trim on collar, sleeves and pin stripes makes black not a random colour. Black numbers on the original kit too. 100% agree looks better with full stripes on the back though.
  12. Ignoring my issues with non striped backs, both our new kits are lovely. Also liking the leaked 3rd black kit. Overall a great set of kits for hopefully a season to remember!
  13. Seen this on Twitter, shows the numbers.
  14. Why not just have stripes fully on the back?
  15. That’s interesting about when he left us, as it was initially an analyst role at Bayern. Worked out eventually for him being assistant to Flick at Bayern and Germany but maybe he was showing that other side to his personality even back then. Agree an ego isn’t necessarily a bad thing in this kind of role and many people also thought he was odds on for the job. He did a fantastic job at Wednesday and I’m sure he will go on to be a top flight manager in the future but I’m feeling happy with Saints choice of appointment as things stand.
  16. I’m feeling more and more positive that going for Will Still instead of waiting round for Rohl (if that rumour was true) was the right call. I think Spors made the right choice at that moment in time and fingers crossed Will delivers success. After Juric left, Rohl was my preference but the way he’s acted this summer makes me glad he’s not our manager. Football Martin (Saints YouTuber) said a reliable source informed him that Rohl didn’t interview well and Still was the outstanding candidate from that process. I wonder if Rohl just wasn’t fully committed or if Still was just excellent at interview. Cannot blame Rohl for wanting out of Wednesday in their current situation, with a horrendous owner but he’s definitely shown a different side of his personality, which appears unprofessional to me.
