It really is a disgrace that WSL multiview has taken the Sky sports+ channel. How can the South Coast derby be only on stream. I find those streams temperamental too, WBA game only worked for half the game. This should be the main event, nothing against the WSL but seriously?!

How about someone like Taiwo Awoniyi on loan? Not getting many minutes at Forest. Probs wouldn’t drop down. Reports suggest Piroe won’t either. Not many names that come to mind that are realistic.

Peretz needs to play safer when passing out, he’s no Bazunu at that.

Back 4?

Going off the latest presser (10:30 embargo section) it sounds like Bree is going to be back at Saints for the rest of the season, might that help us play a back 4? Also sounds like we will do some more business but not lots. Surely a striker at a minimum.

Let him go and get more experience and see if he can improve in the second half of this season elsewhere. We have to hope Peretz is the improvement expected. Just glad we have finally done something about this GK problem.

On Peretz, I liked how quickly he moved his feet for the free kick save (Bazunu dives earlier) and he did seem more willing to come for the ball. Rustiness is to be expected and although a mixed performance you can see some attributes that that our other keepers don’t have. Very interesting to see how he settles in, our next 6 fixtures aren’t easy!

Fully agree. Boro scored 4 from 5 shots on target. After going nearly 8 hours without a goal. Before they played us it was 80 shots without a goal. Bazunu saves less than half the on target shots he faces over what is now a fairly big sample size. He’s also the master of parrying shots back into danger. Even the great save he made with his face sums up his style, just leaps and hopes and often does it too early, like when he was lobbed on his own line at Birmingham. Sticking with him as first choice this season was a mistake, we could all see that. He may be a decent keeper in the future but he’s just good at playing out from the back at present. Has made a few decent saves this season (Wrexham and 2 at Birmingham come to mind) but even with those he’s still bottom for saving the shots expected for the division.

Edwards came with a much bigger reputation than Wood. I’m surprised 18 months later that he didn’t make it and Wood plays every week. I have to agree he’s not looked great when he’s played. Was robbed a goal at Ewood Park to make it 2-0, he was definitely onside. Wonder if that goes in and we win that game, would Edwards and Still have found a different path? Probably more suited to Russball than what Spors wants us to be and not tall or fast enough to give confidence he’ll make it at the top level. I think I’d have loaned for the rest of this season and made a decision in the summer though.
