  1. If anyone's interested:
  2. http://www.skysports.com/football/news/11681/11324067/matt-targett-interview-idolising-gareth-bale-combining-with-ryan-sessegnon-and-hopes-for-southampton-future
  3. Not to mention is new contract (on top of the 'old' new contract). If we do end up going down, I'm going to miss the old emergency loan system.
  4. Do you think Forster would get a move?

  6. I don't think PEH would stay, but I think he'd really develop in the championship.
  7. Certainly wasn't moaning at you that he'd been mentioned previously, Uwe Just mentioned it because I remembered his name after Batman mentioned him as I'd not seen him play before.
  8. Batman mentioned has him previously. Get him on the bus! (I miss saying that)
  9. We really do. One of the things I loved about our recruitment under Pards/Cortese run was how so many of our signings were: 1) Physically big. 2) Had been captains previously.
  10. Shane Long would certainly be very useful down there. Not sure he'd rip it apart. Decent mix of strikers though, assuming we would keep them all. Austin / Long probably on BIG money. The bigger question is, would anyone trust Les & Ross to re-build? They seemingly have a blind-spot when it comes to defenders & strikers.

  12. We need to sign championship know-how and/or experienced players if we are going to play with that lot. Aden Flint & Sol Bamba are the type of centre-backs that do well down there.
  13. Yes! It worked
  14. Difference between us & Stoke is Stoke look like they can actually defend.
  15. Sir, I applaud your optimism.
  16. MLG is going to love this thread.
  17. Those 'Take a walk on the Wilde side' t-shirts were a pretty spectacular bad decision.
  18. Looking at other teams around us (especially the 3 promoted sides) it strikes me that you just have to be competent this season. That's pretty much it. Brighton / Hudds / Newcastle -- Nothing particularly special, just solid, organised & able to grind out a win here & there.
  19. Top post. I'm petrified that we are going to financially unravel now.
  20. Just do not see our defence being able to keep enough goals out.
  21. F*cking hell. What a disaster. Claude's reign looks better & better.
  22. Teams that are in bad ruts are made obsolete by us being generally terrible. What is it now? 1 win in 20 ?!
  23. Wouldn't surprise me if we don't have clauses. Think how arrogant we come across in club-fed spin articles.
