CHELSEA EYE RUDIGER Chelsea are interested in signing Antonio Rudiger from Roma, but he is one of a number of centre backs they are monitoring. Roma did not want to sell Rudiger this summer but they are now willing to listen to offers for him because his team-mate Kostas Manolas pulled out of a £30m move to Zenit St Petersburg at the last minute yesterday. Our colleagues at Sky in Italy are reporting that Chelsea are will to pay €33m plus €5m in add ons for Rudiger. We understand Virgil Van Dijk remains Chelsea's number one defensive target, but Southampton have re-iterated this week that they do not want to sell the Dutch centre back.

Will depend on the Mendy deal, but I see no reason why they won't nail that one. After he signs, a move to City might suddenly seem a bit "Chelsea bench" to him. (Hopefully). I'm keeping half an eye on Liverpool left-back targets, as I don't trust those pesky scouse people.

The next stage of this is to see whether MoPe can talk him around. Otherwise, VvD may feel he can force a move by pulling a mega-strop.

WATFORD INTERESTED IN CHALOBAH Watford are interested in Chelsea midfielder Nathaniel Chalobah, according to Sky sources. Sky Sports News HQ understands Chalobah will hold talks with Chelsea about his future next week. Chalobah enjoyed a successful loan spell at Vicarage Road in the 2012/13 season.

Well I guess their overall wages are fairly low and they get a sh*t ton on TV money. The TV money probably makes their low attendance fairly irrelevant. If I'm wrong, someone will quickly correct me.

Chelsea are the absolute bosses of hoarding talent and selling off for huge profits. Ethically, it's a bit sh*t. But a hell of a cash generator.
