The main thing about Liverpool I've noticed is that they aren't exactly pushing ahead with any other centre-backs. I don't believe Virgil would be their No.1 target for so long and they just walk away.

I saw that the Echo ran an article with news that he's the bookmakers favourite. I half expected them to say "We understand he's not on the shortlist" - but they didn't. Make of that what you will.
