  1. Yeah, I heard about that. He will have to be VERY good though.
  2. Bargain too.
  3. The best thing about them signing Clyne is that it stops Brendan from literally trying every other player at right-wing back.
  4. Cheers for posting that. We've been linked with a ton of defensive midfielders. I wonder which ones we have legit interest in? - The Polish lad is quality but they want big ££'s for him. - I seem to recall the Echo confirm that Idriss Gueye was somebody we were monitoring. - Plus we know King Ronald confirmed Clasie is 'on the list'. - Song / Cabaye don't seem like our kind of signings with their massive wages.

NOOOOOO!!! @Matt_Law_DT: Tottenham close in on Toby Alderweireld transfer #thfc http://t.co/vGCwhDWv86
  6. http://m.dailyecho.co.uk/sport/13353685.Southampton_accept_Liverpoool_s_Nathaniel_Clyne_bid/?ref=twt
  7. Ben Smith at the Beeb also tweeted: @BenSmithBBC: #LFC expect Nathaniel Clyne to sign a 5-year-deal when he returns from hols. 12.5m the fee. A striker still a target. So not sure who was denying it earlier.
  8. I imagine the Echo might chime in with some info if that's true.
  9. What K.Billy posts is usually spot on (at that present time). These thing's change very quickly, and TBF he did say he'd go if we got a silly offer. There's an argument to be made about whether £12.5m is a silly offer of not, but that's not exactly K.Billy's fault.
  10. He showed flashes but I didn't rate him massively over the full duration of his loan. I always had a hunch we'd sign him though. In some ways he's the definition of "Europa squad filler" you probably need - And King Ronald obviously rates him.
  11. He clearly is. £12.5m is a disappointment though.
  12. Connor Armstrong ‏@ConnorArmstrong He is holidaying in Las Vegas, but Nathaniel Clyne's move rapidly nearing completion. #SaintsFC have accepted #LFC's latest offer of £12.5m.
  13. That's what I thought too.
  14. IMBULA TO INTER Inter are close to finalising a deal for Marseille’s Giannelli Imbula. The deal would see the player join the Italians on a one-year loan for 1 million euros with an option to buy for 18 millions euros. Imbula, who has made seven appearances for France at U21 level and has been dubbed “the next Patrick Viera”, has been previously linked with Arsenal and Southampton.
  15. Jenkinson is good, but we can't guarantee he'd play every week so can't see that being a go'er.
  16. Cheers for the updates on him.
  17. How did he play?
  18. Same-old, same-old http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/football/article-3137648/Morgan-Schneiderlin-leave-Southampton-summer-Manchester-United-Arsenal-Tottenham-circle.html?ITO=1490&ns_mchannel=rss&ns_campaign=1490
  19. Agree with all that. (Although I'd be fine with him @ Utd). Spurs or Liverpool would really p*ss me off.
  20. Would be ideal, but to be honest - if we can get Lazio (or whoever) to cover his wages, it probably saves us around £3m a year.
  21. Connor Armstrong ‏@ConnorArmstrong Dani Osvaldo will be returning to #SaintsFC. Boca Juniors pursuing deal for Tevez, and personal problems in Argentina for Osvaldo also. Connor Armstrong ‏@ConnorArmstrong Don't expect to see Osvaldo in pre-season training on Monday, though. Not welcome at Staplewood - a loan move to Lazio beckoning. #SaintsFC
  22. You'd have thought Jeremy Wilson would be best placed to hear something concrete, given his coverage of both Arsenal & Saints.
  23. I had a look around to see who's posting it on Twitter... Main chap I found was this guy. Murray Groves ‏@MurrayGroves Schneiderlin to Arsenal is edging closer after #afc have finally reached an agreement with #saintsfc. Manchester Utd still keen #mufc Murray Groves ‏@MurrayGroves Schneiderlin deal likely to be in the region of £24m. Arsenal is preferred destination. Tottenham bid not reached valuation.
