I know he's still contracted MLG - I was referring to the mysterious Mayuka tweet that Clarkey mentioned about him being released.
-
Wasn't he injured for the back end of the season too?
-
I remember that mysterious post. Was surprised it wasn't announced in the retained list.

Cabaye mulls over Crystal Palace move after deal agreed with PSG http://www.theguardian.com/football/2015/jul/07/yohan-cabaye-crystal-palace-psg?CMP=share_btn_tw

About £16m? - Doable if we get the Morgan money - There was also talk that he wants Champs league though which could scupper it. Different physical attributes to Clasie, I believe - Quite powerful in the air.
-
Very much. I don't recall Krychowiak's buy-out, but it was fairly hefty wasn't it?
-
Yeah, might be encapsulated by the bit on "The March" video yesterday - the bit where Les said about players: "that one's more difficult - shall we go for that one?" - 1st thing I thought of was Imbula!

We shall see - I would imagine so. -
Adam Blackmore @bigadamsport Dutch paper De Telegraaf saying #saintsfc bid €12m for Sevilla's Grzegorz Krychowiak - saying bid is derisory & ridiculous >> Adam Blackmore @bigadamsport >> De Telegraaf saying Jordy Clasie more realistic option & one Koeman turning to #saintsfc

ALDERWEIRELD SAINTS' NO. 1 TARGET Sky Sports understands that Atletico Madrid defender Toby Alderweireld is still Southampton's No. 1 target, despite the Belgium having undergone a medical at Spurs earlier today. And we also believe that the south cost club have made an offer of €20m for the player in the hope of turning last season's loan move into a permanent deal this summer. However, the Saints have yet to receive a response from Atleti.

THE MARCH: Saints launch monthly documentary series

Well that was fairly fantastic wasn't it? Really enjoyed that. -
Didn't watch the presser - but reading tweets made it sound as if after this guy our business might be done? (Replacements for Toby & Morgan not withstanding)
-
Hope Morgan's illness isn't what Chambers had pre-Arsenal move.
-
Well this escalated quickly -- An alrighty balls-up by AM if reports are true. Press conference should be interesting tomorrow.

SKY SOURCES: WIJNALDUM UPDATE There has been lots of paper talk that Newcastle are close to signing midfielder Georginio Wijnaldum from PSV, but Sky sources understand the Dutch side have had no contact from the Magpies. Wijnaldum is due to return to pre-season training tomorrow, and missed today's 6-0 friendly win over Eindstand SV Dosko because he was given extra time off, along with other international players who were involved in the Euro qualifiers last month. PSV have also had no expressions of interest from Roma, who have also been linked with the 24-year-old, but they have had one official bid from Zenit. Wijnaldum is valued at £15million, has a gentleman's agreement that PSV will let him leave this summer, and his agent is working on getting him a move to England.

PALACE CONFIRM CABAYE INTEREST Crystal Palace co-chairman Steve Parish has confirmed the club are interested in signing PSG midfielder Yohan Cabaye. Speaking to Sunday Supplement presenter Neil Ashton on talkSPORT yesterday, the Palace chief said of the former Newcastle man: "That’s definitely one we would like to do. It would be a massive thing for the club obviously. "He’s a seasoned international, so it’s definitely one we are working on."

The Juventus lad Ogbonna - other than that I can't recall too many off the top of my head. Virgil van Dijk at Celtic was apparently our back-up choice to Toby before we got him in in the 1st place - hope we go for him. Think he's got the potential - but Toby will be incredibly hard to replace.

Very true. This one got a little bit closer than normal, because we had to do some "ear lobe checking" a few weeks ago when he was spotted locally. It's never a transfer window without that. -
