  1. Simon Peach ‏@SimonPeach Beşiktaş have made an enquiry about #SaintsFC's Jose Fonte, according to Radyospor. One to ask Mauricio Pochettino about tomorrow.
  2. Isn't our head of recruitment a chap that worked for MK Dons before? He then reports directly to Les Reed.
  3. Yeah, made for a good read. I'm still not sure how reporters can do research into our academy history and mention Huw Jennings & Malcolm Elias without mentioning Georges Prost.
  4. Sky Sports News ‏@SkySportsNews Hull striker Sone Aluko ruled out for eight to ten weeks with torn achilles #SSN
  5. Quality! Well deserved though.
  6. *Bump* http://www.express.co.uk/sport/football/441489/Man-Utd-Arsenal-and-Southampton-on-alert-for-unsettled-Argentine-midfielder-Ever-Banega
  7. Agree. I can remember we started that season the with squad down to it's bare bones. What I liked about Pardew's recruitment was getting us experienced, physical players, most of whom had been, or were captains of their respective teams. Harding, Murty, Lambert, Hammond, Jaidi & Fonte. Good times.
  8. His talent for picking managers is equal to his ability to spot a lucky tie.
  9. MOTD are going to find it tough show Fulham creating all the chances this week
  10. Agree completely. (But the answer is that they play for Utd)
  11. Well that was a fairly magnificent watch wasn't it? I can only assume Fulham's players completely ignored Jol's tactics. Great performance. PS - What a shame J-Rod's scissor-kick didn't go in.
  12. Did this get reported anywhere else? http://www.getreading.co.uk/sport/football/football-news/karl-halabi-out-adkins-brings-6240801?
  13. Isn't Banega more of a deep lying playmaker?
  14. Kagawa would suit MP's pressing game much more than Gaston, IMO.
  15. Kagawa would be a much better fit for us.
  16. Agree completely, Minty. In no way is it realistic, but a Coutinho / Oxlade-Chamberlain type would be perfect.
  17. The Gunners look in a great shape - Who'd have thought it after the start they had? I'd question the depth at the back and up front, but their midfield is fantastic. Ramsey looks like a £25m player, Ozil is on another level. Flamini going back was a master stroke though, he allows all the others to go and play. I think Chelsea just have needed time to find their balance in midfield. So many attacking midfielders. They are still lacking that top striker. I think Spurs need more time to gel. What's surprising about them is that 2 of their best players this year has been Sigurdsson & Townsend - Not many people would've predicted that. I thought Martinez would do a good job at Everton - I expected them to play nice stuff but wondered where their end product would be - but I think their deadline day business really took them onto another level. I'd agree about Hull looking good - Bruce is a pretty solid manager in this league, IMO.
  18. If the Don got me a tie, I'd mention it a lot too. Cheers for writing up the interview, Saint-Armstrong.
  19. We were mentioned as having an interest in the Mirror the other weekend. (For what that's worth)
  20. Would agree with this.
  21. Hope trousers is ready to take some notes on this.
  22. Would've thought somebody from the EPPP should've been on this. But fair play to Dyke for attacking this problem head-on.
  23. On a somewhat related note, I saw we got casually name dropped as having an interest in Zaha on loan in January.
  24. Throw De Bruyne in and I'll consider it.
  25. Isn't that report referring to Coentrao's demands? Regardless, I'm fairly sure every team is looking at Shaw. He's been fantastic for us.
