Wouldn't want anyone else in charge. Love the fact he backs up everything he says, yet still wants to do things the correct way with academy players etc. Managerial decisions have ultimately been spot on. Long may he continue.

Anyone else see David Gold talking about us on the SSN Transfer Centre? - Said us signing Osvaldo puts pressure on teams like them because we are near rivals. - Said he would find it hard to believe we aren't (like them) at the maximum of our wage cap for financial fair play. - Said the only way they'd be able to sign more players would be to sell existing players. I never fully understood how it worked. Is it strictly wages? Or do transfer fee's come into it?

Very much. We're moving for players who the big guns look at, but don't think at good enough for them just yet. (Which means they are very much going to be good enough for us). Little bit like what Spurs did back in the day with Carrick etc.

Pleased he had a good game. 1st time I saw him @ Right back was in the Sociedad friendly. I think he's got all the tools, but just needs some experience. Fairly incredible to be able to blood an 18 year old in the premier league.

I think what we've got with Barney is a league 1 striker on probably top level championship wages. I'd imagine we'd loan him out & pay a large % of his wages.
