He was a fantastic player. His crosses were quality, and back in the early days he didn't have his searing pace that he has now - Back then he used to just drift past players. For a 17 year old, he used to just own the left side of the pitch for us. Was it Burley that called him a "Rolls Royce" of a player? Always thought that was a great description.

Think he'd be a great signing for us. In terms of the squad, swapping him for Punch is a no brainer. I actually thought there was a fair chance he'd get shipped out on loan anyway - And that was before they signed Willian & were (supposedly) in talks with Atsu. What surprised me about him at Chelsea is that in the games I've seen him play for them, he's actually looked impressive for them. I didn't think he'd be able to step up.

I certainly remember his name from FM. Can't believe he's still only 24. Is probably versatile enough to play in any of the 'support 3' positions. Think a loan is a sensible option.
