  1. Itchen_dan suspiciously quiet. Never a good sign before deadline day.
  2. Agreed. With that said, he's a better panic buy than Santos & Park from last year anyway
  3. Sky sources understand Arsenal are in advanced talks to sign Mesut Ozil from Real Madrid. We will bring you more on this development as we get it.
  4. The best Forecast I ever saw @ St Mary's was on my weather app.
  5. He was a fantastic player. His crosses were quality, and back in the early days he didn't have his searing pace that he has now - Back then he used to just drift past players. For a 17 year old, he used to just own the left side of the pitch for us. Was it Burley that called him a "Rolls Royce" of a player? Always thought that was a great description.
  6. Bet they are still trying like mad to get Lukaku back
  7. Certainly don't want to see him go. Was great for us last year.
  8. Cheers Deano. Nothing but good memories of him. Sure he'll do well under Pearson up there.
  9. True. (And they haven't signed Eriksen) - It was just a loose comparison.
  10. Agree. If they don't finish 4th this year, they never will. Don't forget they are still in talks with Eriksen too. Crazy to think they managed to sign that lot without Champions league football. They are a prime example of how spend that amount of money sensibly. Compare with Liverpool's dealings under Kenny:- Carroll (35m) Henderson (16m) Adam (8m) Downing (20m) Coates (8m) Total 87m Soldado (26m) Paulinho (17m) Eriksen (9m) Chadli (7m) Lamela (25m) Total 84m

  12. Who knows if FF's snippet is true, but I bet Spurs wish they had Willian in doing a secret medical 2 weeks ago before Chelsea nabbed him
  13. Think he'd be a great signing for us. In terms of the squad, swapping him for Punch is a no brainer. I actually thought there was a fair chance he'd get shipped out on loan anyway - And that was before they signed Willian & were (supposedly) in talks with Atsu. What surprised me about him at Chelsea is that in the games I've seen him play for them, he's actually looked impressive for them. I didn't think he'd be able to step up.
  14. Reporter David Craig has told Sky Sports News Radio that sources close to Tom Ince have told him that Aston Villa and Everton have entered into discussions with Blackpool for his signature.
  15. Home draw please. Barnsley away was a somewhat typical draw for us in the last round.
  16. You'd have thought Spurs were fully loaded in the central midfield department by now.
  17. From The Times. Arsenal are expected to lodge a fresh £13.5m offer for Newcastle midfielder Yohan Cabaye in the next 24 hours. If they fail, the Gunners will turn their attention to Manchester City's Gareth Barry, St Etienne's Josuha Guilavogui or Southampton's Morgan Schneiderlin.
  18. Easier said than done. Their contracts are too big for lower league teams to afford.
  19. His name definitely got mentioned before. Can't remember if it was a link, or just a suggestion.
  20. I saw Moses was linked with Liverpool today.
  21. I certainly remember his name from FM. Can't believe he's still only 24. Is probably versatile enough to play in any of the 'support 3' positions. Think a loan is a sensible option. Best case scenario : He plays like Coutinho. Worst case scenario : He's like another Iago Falque. Shame we aren't in for the other Argentine midfielder at Valencia.
  22. ...and you'd like to think they'd have enough ££'s to sign him permanently. Surprised it's not in the Scottish press though.
  23. Funnily enough, read this the other day... http://m.bleacherreport.com/articles/1745436-the-bargains-left-in-la-liga/page/3
  24. Matt Phillips Signs for QPR Will be interesting to see what happens with Ince now. Both he & Phillips had 1 year options picked up on their contracts at the end of last season.
  25. So whilst there's no official link to Moses, you'd have to say if Chelsea pinch Willian, the chances of him being loaned out might significantly increase.
