  1. Solent ran a slight update on the 12'noon news update. I transcibe, thus:- "The Liebherr family are behind the post-war success story that is the Liebherr Group, a company set up by Hans Liebherr that has excelled worldwide in construction, machinery and plant , and has since diversified into a number of companies that between them turned over more than 8,000 million euros last year. Contrary to newpaper reports the Swiss bid for Saints hasn't come from siblings Isolde and Willi Leibherr that run the group, but from one of their as yet unnamed relatives that is behind a different company. BBC Radio Solent also understands that the bid is in an advanced stage, and could be completed before the end of the week."
  2. Not too sure. I used to love finding out, now it just gets more & more depressing!
  3. Well yesterday the Echo were reporting that the mystery finance group were in pole-position - Today, they're saying it's the Swiss. Basically, they have no idea do they!
  4. I do mate. Was thinking last night we could move James into midfield alongside Gillett.
  5. "Our one client has SUBSTANTIAL wealth - several hundred million"
  6. I'd sell McG to keep the club running. Who wouldn't. No point keeping him if the club gets liquidated. I enquired as to what happens to the money if we don't have an owner. Apparently the transfer fee either gets shaved off the price of the club, or the administrator keeps it in a separate account for the new owner(s).
  7. Berkovic's volley against Man Utd.... 6-3!!!
  8. My friend, the question really is - Why the hell did he NOT sanction the Swiss BEFORE he gave Pinnacle Exclusivity?
  9. Don't know. But the 1st thing I asked was: "Is it Vega?" I got told: "No".
  10. It's NOT Vega.
  11. It's NOT Vega's lot. Solent reported they're worth around 10 billion a few weeks ago.
  12. Solent also indicated that they believe that Crouch was the one that paid the 500k non-refundable deposit. Has that ever been reported before?
  13. Because KD is probably on more than these 3 combined (& then some!)
  14. I'm going to hope & pray they don't do as bad a job as the last take-over group, led by "Mike". "COYR".
  15. Well if they were, they'd have no problems getting us up.
  16. What about Crouch? I understand they've been talking to him recently.
  17. Alot is going to depend on how many players we have left. We have to assume that Saga/John/Rasiak/McG are going to go. If Euell / Bwp leave, we'll be left with just Patterson & White as strikers. Not too mention our midfield is probably going to lose Surman, Lallana & Schneiderlin too!
  18. Agreed 100%. Look at any club owner in the prem. The appointment of a quality manager makes all the difference. (See Gibson/Ashley)
  19. Anyone remember in the echo, a few weeks ago, that they were reporting that the 'mystery overseas' bidders had actually been in discussions with Pinnacle about pooling they're resources? Wonder what came of that.
  20. Can anyone clear this one up for me? - If the deal goes through - Will there still be a mortgage on the stadium? Or will that have been swept up as part of the deal?
  21. An earlier Echo report had the Pinnacle investors being 'local property developers'. But we know that a couple of the original members of the consortium dropped out... So not sure how many are left within the consortium now.
  22. Rumour I hear is that Tommac is behind the Irish bid. (No joke)
  23. LOVE the clubcall memories! - I used to phone it! - What a loser! Anyway, I digress. The fact that Pinnacle were Fry's preferred bidders, shows you how crap the others probably are.
  24. Yeah, but how long will it take for Pinnacle & The overseas people to reach an agreement on a prospective pooling of resources?! - Time we don't have!
  25. Could Jackson/Green be brokering a deal for Lowe to come back?
