  1. he looks a promising prospect, and I hope he does well. however,I`m a little surprised that we went for him. we already have many of our own youngsters covering/competing for the midfield positions, and I dont want such a young lad in defence. seems to be a bit pointless signing to me. Also,I`m sick and tired of all these loanees.I know they are a big part of the game at this level-but still: I would much,MUCH rather we got someone (more experienced/proven) on a permanent contract. besides, some shivers remain from last seasons total failure with playing the youth..*brrrr* I prefer experienced heads in defence and CM every day of the week !
  2. You must be a PR-plant,right ? the only word I can use for that new set-up,is FRAUD. And the people working at the customers support are incompetent inbreeds.
  3. I get the same,******* annoying ! And when I tried to look at the "my account"-button,it says "your subscription is inactive" WTF ? to add insult to injury,I have been withdrawn £ 3.99 twice this month aswell.. the customer service is useless, they just send out these standard-e-mails instead of actively going in and fix my account..grrrr. anyone here had the same problem ??
  4. Agreed, but I dont think they all would need to cost £ 1 million each. a combined total of £ 2 million more spent, should see us where we want to be !
  5. not a bad shout, actually ! Lambert is not the quickest,so having a fast forward next to him would certainly be preferred. and White is very fast ! even so,I think he`s too young and inexperienced for this season,we cant expect him to deliver constantly just yet.. IMO,we need another striker with pace (maybe I`m getting too greedy now that we are spending money)
  6. hmm..what is it exactly they have deserved for a long time,Mr. All Serious and Righteous ?
  7. you know what they say..if you got good looks, the line doesnt matter
  8. I`m quite pleased with this first half, although we really should be 1 up. ******* poxy referee !
  9. One can tell we`re in league 1 now..the spectators must get their necks dislocated from all the hoofing ! (from both teams)
  10. BIG thanks,mate you`re a star!
  11. that match was one of the reasons I started supporting Saints,at the age of 9..thanks for the reminder, great game ! seems as we,historically, play our very finest football against Liverpool..2-0 relegation season anyone ?? these two matches are the best I have ever seen Saints, especially considering the standard of the opposition
  12. he has played mostly as a right winger his entire career. only this season has he occasionally been used as a striker,or sometimes as an attacking CM...but you do have a point,he gets some stick for not scoring more often. about one third of the pitches in the Norwegian premier division are artificial, unfortunately !
  13. as a Norwegian i can assure you he has been very good all season. and,unfortunately-as others have pointed out- far too good for league 1. he would be very expensive aswell.the common assumption in Norway is that he will go for about £ 3-4 million. I dont think Mr Liebherr would want to dish out that kind of money on one player until we get at least one division higher..
  14. will this new player also provide match commentary ?
  15. Too late,he signed for Leverkusen half a year ago..
  16. as a fellow Norwegian,I can assure you Tessem is far from good enough for any league 1 side. he can`t even find a crappy Norwegian club to play for nowadays.
  17. my answer to this question depends...on how long it would take Pinnackle to get the club bought and going again,if they persist on having a right to appeal. if this drags on for another couple of weeks, then the lack of preparation for the new season may well cost us more than the 10 points we now are deducted. even if an apeal goes through,if the team arent prepared & no players/manager are brought in in due time..I think we might lose more than 10 points because of this. if the takeover can be completed within Pinnackle`s demands by the end of this week, then I vote "no"-we should not accept the deduction
  18. I think we just might beat Bournemouth, and thus be giant killers in the Vans Trophy cup..! or whatever they call that mickey mouse tournament nowadays.
  19. yeah, sure. and what if Mr. Fry fails to deliver a new owner and the club goes under? going by your (twisted, insane) logic,I assume he must then become a synthesis of Lowe,Portvliet,Branfoot & wilde MK 2 ?
  20. Nope. the final mistake was from so-called fans knowing **** all abot football, and wishing for us to enter administration. deluded by some twisted, insane logic that somehow this would benefit Southampton FC. or,as in your case, some "fans" simply wanted administration because it would destroy the club.
  21. your plan sounds reasonable to me. any & everything to avoid extinction of this club.IMO! and that is an attitude I would expect from any true saints fan. people saying "we dont want the club to go under, but IF this and that person is involved,we dont care if it does",are not true supporters-but mere stubborn arseholes who doesnt posses the maturity to look beyond their personal agendas, prejudices and double-standards. most often, the use of principles is the appropriate way to guide ones behaviour. in this case,however,ill-thought principles are the worst possible reasoning imaginable..
  22. check it out. ..seems ******* scary to me,not a very nice piece of reading
  23. maybe the essence here is the "moving in the right direction"-part..? one possible scenario is that Saints initially (under Wilde & Lowe) reduced the overdraft to,lets say 3 Million. where it remained stable for a certain period of time. then, later on (as in the past few weeks) the overdraft have suddenly been rising dramatically,up to beyond the limit- and this sudden explosive rise caused the Bank to panic-even though the overdraft in itself wasnt sky-high...and thus they pulled the plug to prevent further loss. judging that the club was no longer going in the right direction. or is this impossible/improbable ?
  24. you can add Mcgoldrick and Lallana to that list aswell.. both being utilised in the centre of midfield under Wotte.
