With relegation almost a certainty, who stays and who goes?

Blimey Life's to short. This season is crap enough without worrying about how crap next season could be. -
Seems Silva's magic at Watford has worn off.
-
We are so crap these days and sadly you can't see it changing anytime soon... championship here we come.
-
You do understand how this football supporter thing works don't you? There is always something wrong with your team losing....
-
Our transformation into a ****e version of Burnley is complete everyone behind the ball hold on for a 0-0. Unfortunately unlike Burnley we can't defend and can't score enough to get back into a game we go behind in.

One player I really wouldn't be that bothered if he left. Squad player at best wouldn't blame him if he left for a team were he could be a regular like Notts Forest or Birmingham.
-
So in fact our worst 1st team performance of the last two seasons came becuase Eric Black wasn't with the team.......

Really surprised more people haven't picked up on this post given the issue a lot of people have with him. Having said that there is nothing about it on the O/s and his still listed as a first team coach as far as I can tell.

I'm convinced they would have sold him last summer, quite happily, but Liverpool's (and possibly Chelsea's if rumours are to be believed) tapping up meant the club felt it had to make a point to the player, his agent and Liverpool. If they felt the point has been made I imagine they would sell for the right price.

I'm interested how this value for money vs entertainment thing works. Is it just saints fans that need to get value for money being entertained or is it the fans of other teams to? Leicester fans probably felt they got excellent value for money last night and were probably very entertained they to probably spend a lot of money supporting their team. Lets be honest entertainment basically means winning what you are actually saying is you spend a lot of money and you expect to see us win for that money right? Of course the club has no way to guarantee that because you pay to watch a live sporting event the outcome of which isn't fixed in advance. and to answer the question yes I have an ST I do pay to watch saints and clearly feel I get value for money or I wouldn't bother.

How many goals have we conceded since he came back? I expected our defence to improve with his return but really it doesn't seem any better (maybe a bit worse) than we were forced to use Stephens and Yoshida last season. Whether its down to coaching, lack of protection from midfield, formation or personnel at the back I don't know but the defence looks like the key stone cops a lot of the time and seem to struggle to keep a clean sheet.

Pellegrino 1 Puel 4 - Post match Meltdown

Didn't his arrival coincide with Mane, Pelle and Vic leaving and being replaced with Redmond, Hoj and Boufal probably a more likely explanation of why our results dipped.. -
is that the same Liverpool who failed to put one past us in four separate games last season did they forget their shooting boots in all four games?

did my head in that did of all the teams you don't want your CBs ranging off up the pitch against its a Leicester side with Vardy up front. -

way, way, way worse no fight, little effort as soon as the first Leicester goal (which was an embarrassment of riches on how not to defend) went in the lads in red and white pretty much gave up. -
Much better might be stretching it we sat back and defended for the majority of both those games. Probably what we should have done last night...
-
Thank god our players are wearing a kit made for heroes think how bad they'd be without their super powers...

None of our players want a transfer to Leicester so no need to put on a display? -
which is basically "luckiest of the rest for this season". This season its Burnley's season to get the rub of the green next season they will no doubt be lower down. Everyone outside the top six is much of a muchness usual one of those teams will get lucky with an early season in form striker or couple of flukey goals get a bit of momentum going early on and have a decent season almost without fail they are not as good the next season. If there was a team that was constantly "best of the rest" we'd be talking about the big seven instead of the big six.

the face of the modern football supporter you stop being a fan and become a consumer the moment you are worried about value for money. The moment you start complaining about paying a handsome price for your ticket you've reduced going to the football to the same bracket as going to the cinema sadly you are not alone.

Well after a good nights sleep I can conclude that the best part of last nights game was my pre-match meat feast pizza. Dross from start to finish. Leicester showed what attacking with pace and directness can achieve we showed how bad possession football can be if you don't play it properly. Leicester turn defence into attack with one or two passes we slowly lumber up the pitch taking fifteen passes to achieve what we could do in three. -
Leicester haven't done anything special but they attack with pace and directness we lumber up field taking 15 passes when two would do. All their goals, were more down to school boy defending by us rather than anything special from them. We will be lucky if VVD is worth £7000 by the end of the season let alone 70k
-
The issue is you seemed convinced we have decent squad capable of much more when the evidence shows we do not.
-
Utter turd worse display of the season in a season full of crap displays. Leicester haven't even had to play well we are gifting them goals.
-
So he should knuckle down train harder and play better what is it with modern players thinking they have right to just walk into the match day 11.
