Pretty sure similar things were said about Puel when he first arrived....
-
Bloody hell modern footballers Dads seem worse than their kids at times...
-
Well he will fit right in at saints then hardly a bastion of long term managers are we?
-
Well he'll get my support not exactly getting me excited but lets see how he does. Now if that's the manager sorted can we turn our attention to sorting out the squad with some quality upfront, surgery in midfield and a new keeper.....

The most entertaining recent seasons we've had were the two promotion seasons because we were winning most weeks and playing for something right up until the end of the season. We were also a big club at that level who took other peoples players rather than the other way around as it is now. Winning the championship would would easily be more fun than finishing mid table in the PL but it's not exactly a reasonable aim to get relegated to try and win the championship.

Would that be the injuried Sakho right now he is worth nothing.

seems the DUP and Tories are struggling to get an agreement sorted Queen's Speech in chaos as DUP say talks with Theresa May are 'not progressing as expected' http://www.msn.com/en-gb/news/uknews/queens-speech-in-chaos-as-dup-say-talks-with-theresa-may-are-not-progressing-as-expected/ar-BBCXbb3?li=AAmiR2Z&ocid=spartandhp

what you want Les to rohypnol Tuchel...
-
I kind of did in the club questionnaire they emailed me under the question "what would make you love saints more" I put slightly tongue in check "stop selling our players to Liverpool" not sure it will make much difference though

they are all places run by despots who like murdering their own citizens?

We shipped goals with Fonte and VVD playing to. Yoshida and Stephens both proved they could cut in the PL last season and I full expect to see one of those starting along side VVD next season which leaves us one spot to fill the last spot given the lack of top quality CB available its mostly likely to be one for the future I reckon.

North Korea has was of the largest conventional tubed artillery forces in the world most of it dug into hardened bunkers and arranged along the border with the south a hell of a lot of it is also in range of Seoul. They'll lose any war (assuming the Chinese don't join in like they did last time around) but they can do a lot of damage to the south before they go down. http://www.valuewalk.com/2017/06/north-korea-artillery-war/ North Korea's army is pretty antiquated though and most of their troops are barely feed (I think I read 500 calories a day in one report) so if the war goes on to long they will probably drop from sheer exhaustion and malnutrition http://www.rfa.org/english/news/korea/lightens-01142015154111.html

Sorry I'm I missing something don't we need a fourth CB? or our we all happy with Gardos? As for the price 20 million is (or will be soon) the going price for your average PL player so for that we get a young, proven PL CB who can also play at RB if required.
-
Err why couldn't he be the fourth CB to replace Fonte? We also know he can do a job at RB making him useful cover for Cedric.
-
More minutes and less goals than Austin and Gabbi....says otherwise

Perhaps this goes some way to explaining the voting patterns in the latest election http://www.huffingtonpost.co.uk/2017/06/19/resolution-found-boomers_n_17214348.html?utm_hp_ref=uk&ir=UK

Terrorist Attacks - WARNING: CONTAINS DISTRESSING IMAGES
doddisalegend replied to sadoldgit's topic in The Lounge
Actually the rise of right wing extremism in 1930s Germany cuased the accelerated growth of modern day Israel, which in turn sparked the various Arab-Israel wars and generally instability in the middle east which gave rise to Islamic extremism and terrorism... -
I'm not so sure decent value signings from abroad is becoming viable. Clubs across the world are well aware of the PL riches and price players accordingly when a PL teams comes calling now.

Saw this article The Premier League's magic money tree has transfer fees spiralling out of control - how long can it last? http://www.bing.com/news/apiclick.aspx?ref=BDIGeneric&aid=C98EA5B0842DBB9405BBF071E1DA7651530FFE51&tid=4E13F7C67D4944B0B3C2E9C4642367E3&url=http%3a%2f%2fwww.mirror.co.uk%2fsport%2ffootball%2ftransfer-news%2fpremier-league-transfer-fees-ronaldo-10644155&c=1232560164377655975&mkt=en-gb And it got me thinking how do saints compete in what is rapidly turning into madness. The extra TV money was allegedly going to make the PL more competitive but if any thing, with FFP, it seems to be making the gap between the big boys and the rest even bigger. Our club record fees for buying and selling are quickly turning into chicken feed compared to the cash the big clubs seem to be spending. How do saints compete in a transfer market were even average players are going to be costing 20+ million?
