  1. My favourite thing in this new world is every saints loss or draw is the worst the *insert poster name* has every seen in *insert number of years poster has followed saints*.....
  2. Behave we've finished above them once in our entire history. They had a poor season last time out (if you class two cup finals as poor) but it was hardly like the worm had turned and we were massively better than them.....
  3. I don't know might improve their shooting with two goals to aim at..
  4. He just signed a six year contract last summer I think we will get one more season out of him purely because the club need to get in a replacement for Jose first and probably don't want to start next season with two new CBs so will hold VVD to his contract (like they did with Vic and Morgan) so Fonte goes this summer and VVD the summer after is my bet.
  5. This quote from one of the strippers made me laugh... He’s become more arrogant over the years and quite dismissive to us all. He’s not even the best payer and can be quite tight. I’m not sure their wives or partners would be too happy with them coming here.” ?
  6. Did I say anyone was bed wetting I'm merely pointing out that we've had plenty of games were we haven't got what we deserved this time we got something despite being second best and we could easily have been humped on another day. I'm happy about that but if you and Jose want to be upset about it that's up to you.
  7. what goes around comes around we've had several games this season when we've been the better team and come away with nothing (or only a point) nice to have the boot on the other foot once in a while
  8. We played for a draw at Anfield, got hammered 6-1 at home in the cup and were complete turd against then for 60 minutes at home in the league last season, they are a better team this season then they were last to.
  9. I like him prone to the odd **** up but solid and will improve I think.
  10. I'm not to bothered about him if I'm honest really. He gave us to decent seasons but I was annoyed he kept string the whole staying going thing along it all came across as very underhanded. But basically he left because he didn't think he could take us any further. In hindsight after my initial disappointment I think he was right. I think Koeman was surprised as anybody that our second season ended so well and I'm not sure how much our strong finish was down to his management skills anyway. If he'd stayed I reckon we would be doing far worse this season.
  11. I'm just not motivated by money. I like a stress free life ( so clearly wouldn't go into football management in the first place). If I was a football manager though I'd go for a job with low expectations were even a small improvement would be considered a success......so yeah I'd probably go to Everton to.?
  12. I took a lower paid less stressful job for a better quality of life so er no we wouldn't ALL do the same thing....
  13. We really need to be beating the league leaders to emulate last season?
  14. There was a great little bit second half were Boufal turned several Liverpool players inside out. I think he just needs to get more used to the physical side get muscled of the ball a few times but he will come good I think.
  15. I assume our plan was to sit deep defend well and counter when we could. We got the first part spot on but our counter attacking was awful today. Several times we broke out. A saints player raced up field, reached the Liverpool area, looked up and realised he was basically on his own surrounded by pool defenders. It was strange because generally this season we've countered as a unit very well. Thought we were better first half second half we just seemed to want to bend over and take it. Disappointed with Hoj today I'm a big fan in generally but he was poor today. If the plan was to counter I'd rather we had started with Long. Liverpools attacking options are fcking ridiculously. Sturridge and as Orgi as impact subs I mean come on... Good point and a shut out against probably the most attacking side in the league. I didn't have to witness one of our old boys giving it large after scoring I any abuse from Liverpool fans after a tonking... On balance a good day.
  16. yeah but all the non scouse (born on the south coast) Liverpool fans I know are in their mid forties and worship Ian Rush....
  17. I'll take your word for it my Mandarin is a little rusty.
  18. Would that be the same Tadic who has created the second most goal scoring opportunities in the PL this season (27) the reason he has no assists has more to do with his team mates finishing than Tadic's end product.
  19. Judging from the last few summer meltdowns plenty of posters on here will celebrate wildly if Les gets the heave ho. They will probably change their minds after a few months of some random family member, of Landers CEO, running the show....
  20. so no lala or Coutinho......just need Firmino and Mane to injury themselves getting off the team bus and we might get a result...
  21. Not if you don't fill it up every week it doesn't......
  22. You're assuming he wants to leave. Having read a few interviews he has done he seems genuinely happy at saints. Romeu has done the big club thing and it didn't work out that well for him. I'd be mad to say that no player wouldn't leave saints for a big club....but if I was to bet on a player who might do that it would most likely be Romeu.
  23. Fair point if the owner was chucking cash at the club but I thought the general idea was that the club paid for itself so her not investing loads of money shouldn't have to much effect because KL isn't doing that anyway. As for the fans the only reason I can see anyone wanting new owners is if you think they are going to chuck a load of money, Man city style, at the club (assuming they could either work around FFP or where so rich they didn't give a rats arse about it and were prepared to take the sanctions) if not Id rather stick with the fantastic owners we have.
  24. Said with a great deal of hindsight. The lad is getting regular first team football at Blackburn he wouldn't have got that this season at saints baring an injury catastrophe. The only reason people are mentioning Sam is because we are having a bit of a goal drought if we were scoring a few more no one would even be mentioning him.
