  1. Yeah the transfer budget is a bit of a double edge sword if its well spent then great ( though the players linked with Everton in the media haven't been to impressive so far) but even if its badly spent big money normally means less patience from fans and chairmen.
  2. With regards to Redmond 11 million is quickly becoming chicken feed in the PL we will probably have to get used to players costing more and more.
  3. My opinion, for what it's worth, is he didn't see himself being able to do any better than he has here so moved for a nice big wedge while his stock was high. Improving on 11th at Everton looks much more achievable than pushing saints on so seems like a move designed to keep his stock on the up ( or at least level).
  4. I thought the all players hate him I was expecting more vitriol
  5. Bonus points to the Liverpool echo for getting the word meltdown in their headline. http://www.liverpoolecho.co.uk/sport/football/football-news/ronald-koemans-everton-appointment-sparks-11470253
  6. Are you suggesting JWP has been tapping him up Steven Gerrard style while on England duty.....
  7. Although as Everton had offered 7mil Ron's agent probably wanted 8mil from us.
  8. Not really. It's not people leaving I have a problem with its the way they do it. Poch, Lala, Lovern and now Koeman all acted like c unts to get a move. What Koeman has done doesn't paint any of the others in a better light for me.
  9. Doubt he will be to bothered he will get a big old pay out if they fire him and he is pretty much guaranteed a job back in the Netherlands if it all goes tits up.
  10. Yep I think even he was surprised how well we finished the season and didn't really think he could do any better. So move to Everton for a huge salary and try improve on Everton's really crap last season probably looked like a great option to Ron.
  11. Just glad its over and we can move on. You have to say our record with managers post take over has been pretty good so here's hoping for another one. Ron has acted like a **** didn't expect him to stay forever, don't even expect him to turn down, a frankly, insane wage offer. I did however expect him to treat our club with a bit or respect and class....oh well
  12. The amount of time it is taking this might not actually be until 2018...
  13. Can we keep Pelle please couple more years in him yet
  14. There you go...better now?
  15. Really? how much is a loyalty bonus going to be? Everton are going to pay him 7 million a year I'd be signing on the dotted line before something went wrong if I were Ronnie...
  16. But now Rons gone maybe Pelle won't be auto first choice, with no real pressure on his position, I think we would get more out of him if he isn't starting every game. He is still a good option to have in the squad one that none of our other attackers give.
  17. so not John Stones then...
  18. Did they not think to get the paperwork sorted while Ron was on holiday? But all parties are confident a deal will be concluded soon Saints said he can leave, Everton want him he wants to go to Everton doesn't seem like it should be this hard to conclude.
  19. So Ron is back from holiday but it's still going to take a few days to sort out....you get the feeling Ron isn't exactly busting a gut to get settled into the job. Its kind of weird I'd have expected it to have move very quickly once we agreed compensation yet Ronald seems in no hurry to get started. You'd think he would have delayed his holiday to get his dream job all sorted out.
  20. 16 goals in three seasons at Stoke never scored more than 12 goals in a season in 9 seasons...............I'm sure top six clubs will be queuing up for him
  21. I would have thought the club would have got that agreement in place when they got the compensation sorted and before we let Everton speak to Koeman.
  22. I'm still certain we've seen the last of Ronald (even if it goes tits up with Everton to many bridges would seem to have been burnt for him to just pick up where he left off) but I have to say this delay getting it over the line is quite intriguing. I would have thought his agent would have had have the contract all but sorted and an agreement in place before Everton approached the club to ask permission to speak to Koeman. The clubs had by all accounts reached an agreement on compensation so it really should have been simple from this point on makes you wonder if there is some backtracking go on between Everton and Koeman.
  23. Interesting little footnote his new club have inserted a £27million release clause in Juanmi's new contract? http://www.hitc.com/en-gb/2016/06/12/5-million-southampton-flop-juanmi-discusses-exit-has-276-million/
  24. Really? Poch gets dogs abuse from the fans around where I sit every time he comes to SMS and isn't just one or two it's a loads of fans.
  25. I think there is element of club PR about all this because all our ITKs are getting their stuff from the club. Probably an element of truth to it all, as well, but it feels a little OTT. If it was bad as people are now making out I doubt the club would have even offered Koeman a new contract.
