  1. Is any team perfect......
  2. How many bloody times have we hit the woodwork in the last two games?
  3. Couple of goals would do the lad a world of good today.
  4. How has Jrod started? Getting on the ball much?
  5. Not as naive as believing he isn't going this summer. People wringing their hands and prophesising doom if Victor leaves might as well just get used to the fact he is leaving and has been desperate to leave ever since mopo walked out the door.
  6. judging on the season Forster.....
  7. err no we are discussing which of two DMs is better for attacking football not playing a striker out of position........
  8. Except Romeu is far more attacking than Victor. He gets into good positions, gets into the box and has a goal threat so arguably is actually more mobile than Victor and a better option for playing attacking football.
  9. Maybe he is better away from home but all the home games I've seen him play his passing is usual average at best fine playing short passes side ways but anything more is beyond him most of the time. Certainly far short of Morgan's passing when played for us.
  10. I think Benteke would thrive in the current saints team who are constantly looking to cross the ball in to the box.
  11. Doubt it Victor has wanted out the whole time Koeman has been here. Victor ( or his agent) has spent the last two seasons mentioning his love of arsenal and spurs and his desire to move to those clubs....though I'm sure he would take city, man u, Liverpool or Chelsea If offered. Victor will be gone this summer hopefully the club has a replacement lined up.l
  12. Which is a bit unfair on his part. Koeman has been pretty well backed by the board IMO plenty of players in the squad know that were clearly his choices Tadic, Pelle, Claise, VVD and Mane.
  13. yeah all he needs to do is sign Kane and Vardy if we actually had a 20 goal a season striker we'd be, stating the bleeding obvious, higher up the league. None of our attacking players are big goal scorers and with Mane and Pelle going through a prolonged dry patch from November right through until recently we have struggled to score even when playing well. Having said that away from home I think we should have set up better to play counter attacking football playing Long or Mane (or both) up front, leaving Pelle firmly on the bench, and then be happy to just put balls over the opposition defence for those two run in behind.
  14. Despite Koeman matching or exceeding mopo's achievements at saints?
  15. Lot of managers outside the big six say that ....... Bet they are all really ****ed with Leicester
  16. Finishing top 8 three seasons in a row ain't bad. Cups have been disappointing but we put out strong teams in the cups and lost so I'm ok with that. Europe was the most disappointing because we might not get it again for a while and we went out with a wimper. All in all despite losing good players again last summer we are remaining pretty consistent in the top half of the table and we've had some great games to look back Liverpool at home being the best IMO. Leicester winning (or nearly winning) the league has skewed fan expectations for a lot of clubs outside the traditional top six. A lot of fans (not just saints) seem disappointed with this season because this was the season the big boys slipped up, and alot of mid table teams didn't take advantage, and that might not happen again for a while.
  17. He will leave for spurs this summer to replace poch moving to man u.
  18. http://metro.co.uk/2016/04/21/victor-wanyama-stalling-on-southampton-contract-to-force-tottenham-transfer-5830842/ No great surprise
  19. LOL going well for us tonight then. looks like 8th place for us this season. Still top eight three seasons in a row is not to shabby if we are honest.
  20. because we are **** at scoring goals away from home....
  21. I don't think so poch is the greatest coach ever when it comes to youth players.... apparently
  22. Didn't Poch and Shaw have some kind of "thing" going on and he likes Morgan to. Seems like a match made in heaven then he can go back and take Kane and Ali using Man U's mega money and everyone is happy....well not spurs fans but ****'em bunch of tossers.
  23. In fairness my old man and my three year old niece would have put up a better showing than Newcastle's players did at SMS the other week.....
