Saw this MSN article about Brendan Rodgers talking about his plans for next seasons Liverpool squad http://sport.uk.msn.com/football/rodgers-wants-to-increase-options Interesting thing for me was this bit He has already targeted Southampton and England midfielder Adam Lallana as a priority and he is interested in Sevilla's Europa League-winning left-back Alberto Moreno. Liverpool banked over £97million from the Premier League prize fund and television money this season and Rodgers could have between £40million to £60million at his disposal in the summer if he offloads a few unwanted players. So Liverpool have 40-60 million if they off load players and they need IMO several players to strengthen for the CL. Of course we don't know how much saints value Adam at but it seems to me that 20-25 million for Adam (which most saints fans think he is worth) would be an awful big chunk of their budget especially if they looking to strengthen their squad depth. A Small part of me has hope that Adam might be to expensive for them....

Or if the above is true and NC was still here Mopo might be getting the boot right now for failing to get into Europe..............

Yeah would have been great business especially considering the second half of the season where we would have had just Sam Gallagher leading the line. Rather keep Lambert myself as his game doesn't relay on pace his age is pretty irrelevant we are a worse team without him.

Feared him? I doubt it. What was he going to do to the chairman of another football club for daring to bid for one of our players? Plus the strong speculation (from Adam Blackmore among others) is that NC is the one stirring the **** in the media at the moment anyway.

The longer it goes on the more I'm convinced Mopo is looking for a way out and isn't all that committed to saints.

Zaha is an interesting one not exactly living the dream at ManU (Luke take note) certainly has some talent and could be the creative player we need if Adam leaves (not that I think he is as good as Adam but not many players we could afford are going to be) young enough to be improved. Having said that every interview or article I've read about him makes him sound like a bit of a cocky ****.

God knows I've spent a few chilly afternoons at footie games where some heaters would be most welcome especially at my age. I'm getting to old to try looking hard in just a t-shirt at 1 degree Celsius:)

I reckon that would be awesome (though sadly unlikely).

Catch 22 though if people don't sign up for STs and support the club with money then they might have to sell players to cover the loss. Surely after watching saints for fifty years times aren't changing at all but just carrying on as they pretty much always have?

What like Alex Oxlade-Chamberlin? The truth is no-one was paying that much attention to our players until this season it was pretty easy for Nasty Nick to hold on to our players when few real offers ever materialized. This season created a whole new ball game for saints one Nicky never had to deal with.

Personally think this is why Mopo won't sign a new contract his been hanging on for a crack at the Spurs job. Once there he can probabaly tempt away some of our best players as well.

Unless of course he has no other job offers coming in...... which case we might still be attractive for the time being.

Does anyone think Brendan Rogers has told the Liverpool boys to be extra nice to Adam on their little Brazilian holiday.............
