Not really much I'd play Yoshida along side him.
-
Oh I'm pretty sure he will get destroyed by the likes of Mane, Aguero, and Salah. Having said that we lost quite a few points against the more direct sides with more physical CFs last season so if he can keep out goals from those sort of sides we are improving on last season.

Well that panned how a lot of us predicted. five at the back at home to Burnley is just such a WTF moment We literally gifted Burnley the game for 60 minutes by playing five at the back. We had no control of midfield and sat deep putting no pressure on the ball. First half Burnley where pinging the ball around like a cultured ball playing team cutting us open at will. After the change we got control of the ball and put them under some really pressure. We might well have won this game if we had 70 minutes of play like the latter part of the game instead of 30. As for the players the new guys all look promising so far. Redmond had a good game and Romeu looked like,a different player after the formation change. Hoedt still looks like a flamming liability. Despite calls pre-season McCarthy looks nailed on as No 1

A new high (or low) jack Stephens launching long throws into the box ...our transformation into stoke/ west brom is almost complete...
-
Making Burnley look like ****ing Brazil at times. The defence is all over the shop. There is practically no pressure on the ball in midfield when Burnley have it. One or two nice moves at the other end by us but all in all new season, new players same old shyte so far..

Which suggests three at the back isn't really necessary for this game. Most likely we will have 3 CBs trying mark one isolated front man out of the game.
-
I think there is a place for it ( eg against the big teams) but at home to a generally negative Burnley side isn't that place.
-
Oh dear god Hoedt and Stephens.... I think Redmond got 2 goals and assist in pre-season, before picking up a knock, playing as a second striker so strangely I'm not that surprised by that one. I think Mo is going to be eased into it.

Me to glad the footie is back.

I think two seasons is the most he has ever managed at any club side and often a lot less. Leeds fans will no doubt enjoy it while it lasts.
-
You have to wonder why anyone at our end would agree to that deal..
-
We where crap even in the two games we won in last years pre-season. Alarm bells where ringing about MoPes playing style before the season even started.

So what's that five goals in four games? WTF -
yep I really like the look of Armstrong, so far, a very positive player who looks to drive forward with the ball I think 7 million could be a good bit of business in the world of mega bucks transfers.
-
Funny enough I was just reading a match report on my phone and they singled out Maddison as a stand out player tonight for Leicester.

You know the sort of thing "We March on" . I think these videos might have lost a bit given recent seasons but hey I'm pumped for a new season.
-
Ha that's pretty epic long time since we had a player unveiling at SMS or for that matter a bloke ****ing of a giant phallic symbol in the centre circle....
-
good to see him waltz through our CBs with ease on 7.29..

Games like this the first goal is the killer. Burnley score first and they'll tighten up more than a Nuns lady parts and we will spend the rest of the game trying to break down a well drilled mean defence of 10 men. If we can score early then they will have to try and play a bit and give us some chances. Hopefully it wont be a repeat of last seasons sucker punch.

Don't know how the coach is but he is doing a very good job of mimicking Hoedt's defending...
-
If Ings wants to get in with the saints fans he should probably post the same picture with the catch line "Won't miss this c u n t" instant love from the Northam...
-
If that happens we probably won't be able to buy as we will already have £38-40 million tied up in two strikers not fit for purpose. Lets hope he stays fit.

The world where his knees go again, a few games into the season, and we spend the next few years paying him to sit in a treatment room?
-
It does feel like we are the gift that just keeps on giving to Liverpool first they buy up all our good players now we've run out of those they are going to sell us their unwanted ones for stupid money (while we conveniently forget the whole tapping up shyte from last summer). If this was a low risk season long loan I'd be happier but 18-20 million 4 year deal on a player whose fitness and goal scoring record is very much up in the air right now seems a stupid decision. Oh well it might work out I guess. I'm going to get the **** ripped out of me at work today though I told the Liverpool fan at work that Liverpool where mad looking for 20 million for Ings no club would be stupid enough to pay them that I told him
