the midfield is losing the ball with alarming regularity same as last season they can't hold on to the ball long enough to get attacks going.

Depends if they have good seasons I guess. No doubt their fans will enjoy it alot if they have storming season in the championship.

I'd say the responsibility is on Bertrand a Targett to get good crosses into the box for Austin and Gabbi to make use of.

Ta. Replace Hodet with Yoshida, Targett with Cedric and I'd still rather see Romeu (and yes he has some poor form recently) over Hoj and that's a decent team from the available squad.

It's hardly a shambles by getting in Gunn we've made sure Forster never gets near the first team again that alone will probably give us another 9pts on last season. Forster is clearly not going to feature for us anymore which is a good start and sure it would be nice to get him of the books but just not seeing him in a saints match day squad is good enough for me.

Leicester have the only good striker outside the top 6 can't see them going down.

So just like Leicester a few seasons back. No one predicted Burnley as last seasons surprise package or thought Stoke and West Brom would get relegated. Outside the top six everyone is a bit crap in the PL. Any team that can be a decent start and a bit of confidence can finish " of the rest" and no team outside the top six is more than a couple of injuries and some crap form away from relegation.

Awful waste of Bertrand's talents though if we don't think we have enough good CBs, from the five we have, we should have tried to off loaded some of them this summer and got another decent CB in.

Probably not. I believe Dyche used one of the smallest pools of players in the league last season partly out of necessity and partly because he apparently prefers to work with a smaller group of players to keep the whole squad involved and together.

I did go. He had a good 45 minutes (two nice assists and little in the way of defending to do ) I'm not disputing that but that's all it was. I remember him having a good pre- season game last summer under MoPe in France.

Really? After the last couple of summers I wouldn't be that confident we'd up with better for less.

Or once the ball for the second goal was a little through ball not a cross. Targett had a good 45 minutes but I'd be wary of reading to much into it.

I'd go with that. Bednarek did a job at the end of last season in a 3 when called upon. I haven't got him down as some sort of superstar. I just think right now he is slightly better than the other two options.

Its not a case of being good only being better than Stephens or Hoedt. Right now I think he is marginally better than the calamity brothers.
