  1. Oh I see. We shoud judge Mandela completely out of context to his time and what was happening in his country when he was alive. It is certainly a bit of a strange view of history. Your views on the second world war must be interesting. Going by your logic, that Churchill was a bit of a nutter wasn't he?? Many more Germans were killed by his actions than South Africans were killed by the ANC. Was he a war criminal?? As for that von Stauffenburg who tried to assassinate Hitler - well he was nothing but an out and out terrorist. People were nearly killed by his bomb!!! This forum does come up with nonsense but writing the number of posts that you have on this thread (how many has it been ? - 50??) whilst trying to ignore apartheid is undoubtedly a prize winner.
  2. Clearly you are the only voice singing in the wilderness. Never mind. I am sure that oneday somebody will come round to your way of thinking. You just have to be patient. I tell you what - you should go to London and stand on Speakers Corner. It is full of odd people spouting their views. It is always a good place for a laugh. You would fit in well there. Oh by the way.Does your grubby little racist site have any views on Sharpeville? Or doesn't that matter because it was 69 blacks that were killed by the South African police. If we are going to trade website allegations , what are your views on the information on this website http://www.dailymaverick.co.za/article/2013-03-08-jacques-pauw-on-vlakplaas-apartheid-assassin-dirk-coetzee/ ... and before I go to bed for the night perhaps you could give Verbal a more considered reply than to be told that he is a lunatic. He asked some pertinent questions which deserve an answer ... and we all know that you like questions to be answered don't we.
  3. I am getting worried about you Turkish. Last night you took exception to a derogatory statement that I made about Nick Griffin. Today you have displayed an unhealthy knowledge of some racist websites. I would defend your right to have extreme right wing views .... but people with those views deserve the names that wade garrett gave you.
  4. Another intelligent response. Getting really rattled now aren't you Turkish. LOL.
  5. What an intelligent response. LOL
  6. So all that about John Simpson was you proving an inability to read and comprehend ?
  7. Where did I claim to be an expert? Pergaps having been there I do know a little bit more than people who have not been there. And talking of answering difficut questions, when are you going to answer Shurlock's last night?
  8. What on earth are you on about?
  9. You observed that the country was not united. My view having visited the place is that this is not the case. People we spoke to were clearly proud of their country and the concept of a "rainbow nation" trying to make a place for itself in the world. I guess that people who have left the country and have made their minds up that the place is going to the dogs are not going to sign its praises. The people they have left behind do seem to have a national spirit.
  10. Reading and comprehension clearly not your strong point today CB. You claim not to understand when I wrote "the country undoubtedly has its problems." Never mind.
  11. So unless I lived in a shanty town I know nothing about the place?? Its funny, my passport has got a couple of SA entry and exit stamps, we travelled independently around the country and visited so many places but apparently I would know more about the country by talking to Sour Mush and Turkish. Who needs to travel aanywhere if you have Turkish's and Sour Mush's prejudices.
  12. Speak for yourself mate. We do different sort of holidays ... or would knowing what you talk about be such a change for you that you wouldn't be able to cope?
  13. So in other words , you have never been there but are quite happy to pass judgement on the place. Hmmmm. Someone may say that you don't know what youare talking about.
  14. Not united? On what do you base that opinion? Have you ever been there? Ifso, I woud be genuinely interested in how you come to that conclusion. I have had 2 holidays in SA and have seen a fair bit of the country. It is a young country and undoubtedly has its problems .... but name me a problem free country. When I have visited I have met a friendly, generally courteous set of people who are proud of their country and who believe in the rainbow nation concept. Their belief in their country's future is quite refreshing and they are , dare I say,a more united country than the UK atm. Please share your experiences if you have visited it and have found it different. If you have not visited and are basing your judgement on the British press then I suggest that you change your newspaper.
  15. Well, he did admit that he was really thick.
  16. LOL
  17. On a superficial level perhaps but blacks in SAfrica had a much worse life with much greater oppression than anybody in N Ireland in the years before the Troubles. The National government in S Africa had been admirers of the Nazis FFS!! To bring that regime to an end, relatively peacefully with a lot less bloodshed than in N Ireland and to create a united "rainbow" nation that despite the sceptics has held together was a remarkable achievement. That is why Mandela was a great man. Comparisons with the IRA are only superficial.
  18. Nick Griffin came out with some nonsense .... no surprise there I guess.
  19. When did you answer the question?
  20. But it maakes the comparison with the IRA rather invalid.
  21. I notice that he has come back onto this thread. I wonder if he will get round to answering the question. For someone who has so much to say on the subject you would have thought that he would be able to answer the question of what institutional channels existedfor black SAs to change the status quo.
  22. Only if Crawley get demoteda division and also end up non league.
  23. Just seen the interview on Saints Player. He did look cross. Very cross. I would not have like to be closeto him last night.
  24. You can still get 33/1 on them detting relegated. They are 11/10 to be in the bottom half. Who says bookies don't give good odds.
  25. Disappointing but the last 2 games have been a bit of a reality check. We are a good team and should be proud of what we have achieved but we are not a CL team yet. This is hardly surprising. Less than 3 years ago we were playing Dagenaham & Redbridge. I am sure that we are on the right path and believe the future is bright.
