  1. I wonder who was cooking her old man's tea whilst she was at the footie :-)
  2. I did. Ladbrokes at the ground were 40/1 on Saints winning the second half 3-0. I had a bit of that!!
  3. Having just back from the game all I can say is: There is only 1 Rickie Lambert. His first goal was a good centre forward's goal. Their goalie got a hand to the penalty but the sheer power of the shot ensured that he couldn't save it. The third goal was pure class. Look out for it on the Football League show. The first half was pretty scrapy and a lot of the second half was not good. But MK Dons would never have scored if we had carried on laying until midnight. For a home team they were pretty dreadful and I can undersand why so few people turn up to watch them play (attendance 10,000 of whom at least 1,500 were Saints fans). When they finish the top tier of the ground so that it can hold 40k+ it will seem awfully empty with so few fans. They must have the only leaky roof in the country. For a ground with World Cup aspirations you would think that they would have a roof which kept you dry!!
  4. Hmmm. I think AA is still busy telling them what he thinks they want to hear rather than what he thinks. HMRCE will never agree to a CVA unless they recieve 100 pence in the pound. I know that. Most of the osters on this thread know that. Perhaps someone should inform the Android!!
  5. This is hilarious ... if you can get to the end of the piece without being sick. Rupes went round the media shortly after our admin proclaiming "Not me guv" - but not even he involved his wife in his "conservatory". "I'd love to stay ....I thought enough is enough" .... and there was I thinking that the android was now running the club so the decision to leave was never his to take. "He loves Portsmouth so much, he will attend Saturday's match" .... I wonder if he will pay for his ticket or will expect a freebee??? "I was only on £450,000 a year then".... "Only" more than double the Prime Minister "In January 2009, we were in a mess financially and I brought in an awful lot of money so Sacha gave me a £500,000 bonus. Because of cash-flow problems I didn't take that until August 09" .... and by August 09 were the financial roblems any better? You would have thought that he loves the club so much he would have waived the bonus completely. ^Sacha always said it was him owning Portsmouth and not his father. The reality is that there had to be some backing from him. Sacha's a young guy, where's he got all that money? Maybe he just borrowed it from his father.^ ..... perhaps the penny is beginning to drop in Storrie teller's mind!! " Because the father had had some bad publicity," ... I suppose that prison sentences and being barred from the EU is "bad publicity" "Some of the add-ons we put into agreements were winning the Cup and getting into the Uefa Cup, things you'd never in 100 years think would ever happen! A club would say: 'Give us £500,000 extra if you win the Cup.' 'OK. No problem" ..... Nice to know that the CEO on £1 million + a year was such a good negotiator. "The only thing Peter is guilty of is trying to be a hero and saving that club." .... I think that I am going to need that sickbag again. "I had a lovely text from David Gill. I want to stay in football. I've a lot to give." ... I wonder if he has confused "give" with "take." "I had a phone call from someone saying: 'it wouldn't surprise me if you get a call from the Government, who want to look into the financial structures of football'. " .... it wouldn't surprise me if you got a phone call from the Government as well Pete. Even Hello magazine would not have published an interview like this. Has Hello taken over the Telegraph ????
  6. I think that you must have the wrong incident. I have watched it on iplayer and there is no off the ball foul.
  7. Someone is deliberately stirring this up. A leak to The Sun here. A leak to the Mail there. Before long even the PL/FL will have to sit up and take notice. I wonder who is behind this. A disgruntled employee? An ex employee? Someone who has definitely been p*** off by Storrie. Remember ....be nice to people on the way up 'cos you will need them on the way down.
  8. Out of the frying pan ......
  9. I must admit that when the first chants against him started up, I was a bit emabarassed. I hadn;t thought they were fouls / had seen our player commit an offence so did not agree with the protests. By half time I was livid!! He was awful.,,, and that was before the Gradel / Harding incident. That man must not be allowed to referee again!!
  10. A coule of weeks ago Peter Walton took a lot of stick from the 5 Live commentators for his performance in a match. I cannot rememvber now which game. Perhaps he has been demoted to the FL. I really think that whoever took those pictures should send them to the national press and the FA. The sooner that Peter Walton gets sacked the better.
  11. Does he live with his mum???
  12. All I can say is .... Brilliant. Go for it.
  13. Remember mack that its the hope that will kill you. You can cope with despair. If you were wound up, AFC Pompey would be founded, you fishy few would band together and you would dream of the better times ahead. As it is you have nothing to look forward to but point deductions (-9 this year, -15+ next year, -30 the next after Storrie Tellergets banged up) and a long slow death. The future is bright. Its not blue and white.
  14. A Reading fan at work received a text this afternoon from her skate cousin which expressed the hope that he could get his "usual" seat at Wembley. At my suggestion she has replied asking him why he wants to go to watch Fulham play Spurs in the cup semi final!!
  15. So no "gardening leave" for PES !!
  16. Looks like Corp Ho has taken over PES's membership to this forum. What happened to the old PES that claimed that he wouldn't come on here to gloat??? The guy who seemed to be quite reasonable for a Pompey fan. Perhaps the strain of WUO 's , court cases and administrators has taken its toll in more ways than one on the nerves of the blue phew???
  17. I suppose the majority of skates are pretty well acquainted with court hearings.
  18. I think the key word is unduly. ie They are worried about it but do not want to admit to it.
  19. If the administrator is going to investigate where the money has gone from all the sales over the last few years, he will be a very busy boy. Is he going to have time to find any buyers for the club??
  20. Yeah..... but I let those cones were put out really well!!!!
  21. Tanya on £250k!!! They could have got a decent Finance Director for less than that.
  22. I will be both surprised and upset if he is not allowed to continue the job that he has started.
  23. So what date do you reckon the police will make their first appearance at Nottarf?? I give it about 10 days. I reckon that the administrator already has a pretty good idea of what has been going on. It will not take him very long to work out what has been going on. Getting the police brought in could well mean that he could get rid of Storrie without forking out a seven figure payoff. So I go for the beginning of the week after next ... round about March 9th.
  24. Brilliant comment. A true tea spitting out over the keyboard moment. I think you mean Notting Hill rather than Love Actually ... but it is easy to confuse them
