I have similar sentiments .... but after last night I think that we are due for some 3-1 victories so I go for 3-1 on saturday.
-
But they cannot be certain that they will win this week's Euro lottery!!!
-
Life is full of surprises isn't it.

Perfectly true. But in his book he is also very uncomplimentary about Rupert ..... and some people do not like that!!
-
No - only in the mind of Nineteen Canteen. He has been quiet lately . He keeps having the odd dig at Matt Le Tiss but nobody is biting so he is starting on this line now. Expect more to come from him on how we have a season left of battling for survival with all our thick players. He claims to be a Saints fan yet doesn't realise that the Pompey game does not finish at 5pm on saturday. I can only guess that he doesn't plan on attending the game - despite the many season tickets that he claims to buy!!!

Oh thats unfair!! Don't you know that he only posts on here when he is at work?? When he is on gardening leave there is no way that he can post on here. I hope his new employers know that he is going to be spending much of his working day on this forum :-) :-)

This is going to run and run and run!! Sit back and enjoy it. I did think that February may have seen the end of Pompey what with the winding up order, late payment of wages etc etc. Now I think it is just going to run on well into the summer. In the same way as "English batting collapse" or "struggling Southampton" for a time were cliches in the press, we now have "more financial problems today for Portsmouth" being one of the most used phrases. 5 Live cannot give an item of news about them without using that phrase. I suppose a lot will depend on whether they escape relegation. If they do Chanrai will stand a better chance of getting a new owner. In the CCC this is more unlikely. I still feel that what will ultimately bring them down will be financial irregularities. God knows what has being going on there .... but soon the world will know (or at least have a better idea). When does story teller appear in court next?? Isn't that next week??? When is saggy's and Milan's next court hearing??? Friends of mine who have no love / hate for Pompey and seem immune to many of Pompet's problems are talking about the Rednapp / Pompey / Spurs connection. How many times does Saggy have to buy / sell with Pompey before the Inland Revenue gets suspicious?? Sit back and enjoy the ride. It is going to last for many more months to come and I would not be at all surprised if at the end of it, Pompey have been demoted several divsions by the FA for financial irregularities.

I don't know what made me find this. It is nearly as old as this thread .... but if you want a laugh read paragraph 6 of the attached match report. It came from the beeb so it must be true!! http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/football/eng_prem/8222249.stm

Don't miss the complimentary comments from Claridge after the goals.

Thank you. I can see where you are coming from.

Interesting. You know much more about this than I do. Why would they need to go into admin first thing monday?? Why not wait until the day before the court hearing... or at least that week???
-
Excellent post.

You won't go to the match but if by some fluke, we manage to win, will you desert our message board ?? Will you "do a Corpy" and embark on the world's longest ever gardening leave?? I hope not because it is nice to have a decent skate posting on this board .... even though you are so deluded that you think that you will win !! :-)
-
Are you sure?? You could be right but I am not convinced that it was not Olly.
-
Who is Wilshire you are talking about??? This is a Southampton website and we are talking about Southampton in case you are a supporter of someone else and have got lost on the internet.
-
I am sorry to report that it was Olly Lancashire. I do not like to slag our players off .... but the lad needs to get stronger very quickly if he is to have any sort of future here.
-
The wages can be paid this week. The Pompey share of the Sunderland FA cup gate was invested on the Saturday night lottery .... and came up lucky. Enough was won to pay the January wages. They are now looking for volunteers to scratch the panels off the 25,000 lottery scratchcards that they plan to buy next week.
-
Would you call those 15 years the "lazy bstard years" ???? :-) :-)
-
The FA do not take one third. They take 10%. The gate is shared after deducting all the costs - police, stewards, VAT etc etc. So I think,as the OP states, we definitely made enough yesterday to pay for Lee B.

It is strange how the transfer embargo is always about to be lifted at the same time as demonstrations / protests start. Anyone would think that the"good news" is leaked out solely to deflect criticism from the board!!
-
He was a bit dodgy in the first half. Most of Ipswich's chances were created from his side. I thought however he was excellent in the second half. He went forward well and was a rock in defence. I hope he stays in the team for the Brentford game. I am an admirer of Harding and think he is the better bet at left back. But he deserves a rest and AP should keep Mills in the team for the next few matches. A bit of competition for the left back slot will do us no harm.
-
and full of yorkies. No wonder he didn't go there.
-
Hmmm Fonte captain. We could regret the choice of full backs..... but apart from that , this could be a good team. I quite like the look of the midfield.

What a great name for him!!
