Wish he'd been sent off in the first 5 minutes though - may have meant we'd have: replaced Thompson at the end of the 1st half (completely out of his depth), induced some fire into a lacklustre team of kids and not had to witness Wotte's only other contribution I noticed which was to signal to the players to do the long ball! I think JP wouldve won that game - by passing Charlton off the pitch. I'm sure he know's he's off and is going through the motions. Shame we cant get this takeover deal sorted quickly to get a manager in who understands this league (and league 1 sadly) before the end of the season. Still, he'll be gone soon. We just need to respond to Fry's calls to fill the stadium in order to do our bit to encourage the buyers.

Losing Lowe and watching 14000 fans return as a result is consolation, but if the team cannot demonstrate courage and desire to stay in this league fans may drift away again. Truly terrible performance that underlies the problems still beneath the surface for any potential buyer. Quite simply... you cant win anything with kids. I left yesterday thinking, 'I hope the new buyers have enough money to buy 7-8 men (in almost every position) and a new manager who can motivate'. And if they can only afford a couple of men, we need to SELL 70% of our young players IMHO to finance some courage and desire to wear the shirt. Not an entire surprise, I still expect us to go down (always have), the damage done this season by Lowe's unnecessary youth playing policies and managerial selections were always going to lead to this. At least we can now rebuild this club with some optimism, removal of the kids and fundamentally removal of the manager. We have a team of limited talent that is nervous, getting worse game by game not better, that is phased by big days, that lacks courage, lacks determination and fundamentally maturity on both the sidelines Mr Wotte and on the pitch. I hope we keep Davis and build a team from the back in League 1. Long way to go, but at least the fans are back.

I dont regard any of those thousands of Saints fans across the South of England as fools. Mark Wotte is about to get a lesson today... The 'Real fans' are returning. We're not in this position because of the fans, why should 30000 watch Lowe kill the club through stupidity and appalling Club policy of marginalising our experience players (whilst paying their wages anyway!) and playing kids with Dutch propaganda... Well something just happened that made the real fans come back to watch a stripped team and a Dutchman. So, I wonder who was to blame? Come and watch the game 19... if you can get a ticket

Professor... He's gone. He's gone because even Barclays took the first opportunity to get rid of him (x3 bounced cheques and a meagre £60K over the permitted overdraft limit). They removed him due to his incompetence, divisive nature, lack of financial skill, lack of ability, integrity... need I go on? We just removed the tumour. We have 15 potential buyers and counting and a full stadium today. Optimism has returned. Now, stop this rubbish, admit Lowe was an arse and come and join us in rebuilding the damage he's done.
