I think the fishy inflatables was the finest hour of fun against the Pompey … assuming the match goes ahead and they are not wound up.

But they had passion. We looked very poor. And so were our fans frankly. We need some reinforcement. I do not believe even a playoff place is possible if our form continues as it is. Still, with Lallana, Chaplow, Lambert, Fonte and others to return we have a chance of stabilising. PLEASE.

I don't think he'll play - at the end of the day he's a talent but no-one really wants him as he is far from a team player. Disruptive apparently. I'm sure we can do better.

Have to say I'm not surprised. There are now x4 contenders for the top 2 automatic promotion slots. I can't help but feel the bubble is bursting without reinforcements and an on-form Chaplow returning uninjured. Brighton so wanted that. We need some pretty nifty management now…. lets see what NA is truly made of and the true extent of NCs ambition...

I am not feeling confidant at the moment. Can't help but think we need some fresh blood in to give everyone a kick up the backside to compete for places and compete to win the league. Brighton will regard this as a Derby, we won't. Draw at best… but then Saints do keep proving me wrong thank goodness!!!

To be fair - all this team needs to be mid-table Premier League next season IMHO is a good goalkeeper and a good striker. I still would like to see some cover at Centre Back and another Chaplowesque midfielder too, but in general we're rocking.

Rarely does a team have this sort of opportunity. Top of the league. Look at teams like Forest who have been close but then faded having not taken their opportunity. It is a good question to ask and one the Club and NC must be engaged on. The answer is simple: WE MAY NEVER GET THIS CHANCE AGAIN - INVEST AND FIGHT FOR AUTOMATIC PROMOTION. FIGHT FOR THE HONOUR OF GOING UP AS CHAMPIONS. INVEST! INVEST! INVEST!

Jay Rod is holding out for a better deal. But he's also Burnley through and through. Gonna be an interesting one, if we want him (and by god do we need another clinical finisher) then we're going to have to pay for him. I wonder if there's not better out there, cheaper?

Just watching on BBC News people getting upset about businesses failing to pay back Billions in tax… I seem to recall Pompey were let off their tax bill. I want Pompey to survive - don't get me wrong - I love beating them and subjecting them to a humiliating draw at Farton Park. Oh how the screw turns in the Pompey gut as we continually improve. But, surely they should have paid their taxes?
