We will miss him, no doubt. Top, top quality midfield player. IMHO one of the best defensive ones in the PL. I know a number of Citeh fans who wished he had signed for them. Have to say, as it sits right now, with the loss of Morgan & Toby we are a weaker team than last year. Have every confidence we will sign some very able replacements, but have to admit a few nerves......................

I was at that game & if I have ever seen a fixed game this was it. We move forward to LeTissier. You made an illegal contact with him & agreed a contract with him prior to anyone at Saints being informed. Read his book. Ruddock. Vegetables signs Ruddock on the cheap based on a low salary that will increase in YR2 to reduce the transfer value. He then left because you went beck on the deal. Read his book. The way Hoddle left us for you guys. He could have left at the end of the season with full support from Saints, but he left ASAP to hunt the glory of an cup final. He failed. Dean Richards. The way you handled that (North London Yobbo's) was another example. Potchetino, Mitchell & now Alderverweild simply show you to be like the class room **** who thinks hes the coolest in the class because his dad buys him all the gear that is supposed to be trendy. Problem is, he is still a **** with no friends. To try & make himself popular he tries to bully some of the smaller kids. The kids who are actually decent honest hard working kids. He gets away with it most of the time, but ultimately he is still a T W A T in a pair of **** trainers with no mates. The top 6 is perpetuated by the media (mostly London based), Sky & the FA. You hold all the aces, but you still win the sum total of FA. Keep living in the shadow of Arsenal & go a copy the cool kids...............................

Personally think Reed adds more than JWP at the moment. Clearly JWP is better from set pieces, but Reed presses, harries & disrupts the opposition higher up the park (more MP style I know) which indirectly gives us more of the ball as opposition mahe mistakes. Hope we see more of him this season.

Morgan is such a top top quality player it's going to be very very difficult to replace him. Toby also, but kinda always knew it would be tough to keep him. Money talks, simples!

Just wish players would have some integrity & say they are leaving for the money. Not sure Liverpool have many better players than us so he won't be playing with better. Certainly our defence was better & if wouldn't swap Morgan & Vic for Henderson & Allen/Gerrard. They wouldn't need to buy 4 of ours if that's the case. And if it wasn't for Kevin Friend Liverpool would have finished below us............... Honesty is all we ask, sadly footballers lack it. Same applies to Sterling I suppose?

I'm the complete opposite. I thought Djuricic was/is a poor mans Gaston. Looks too lightweight for the PL IMHO. Football is all about opinions of course.

Because they are a long way behind the top 4 & if it's really about ambition you join one of them or stay at Athletico. What was the last trophy Spurs won?

Toby going to Spurs will disappoint me more than Morgan & Clyne. The sad truth about football is money talks & the teams who finished above us have more & will pay bigger wages. That's why being a Saints fan you regularly get kicked in the ********. Just wish players had more integrity & talked about more personal wealth & less about ambition etc!!

Call me an idiot, but I would go & sign Joey Barton on a free. Particularly if Morgan leaves. Maybe mad, but I think he would thrive in our squad.

Usual Liverpool tactic of unsettling a player. Leaking this also deflects from their own issues/troubles. FWIW Clyne would play most games for them. He wouldn't sit on the bench unless his form or a serious injury happened. Liverpool are & most likely always will be a bigger football club than Saints. Their history, fan base, global footprint, capacity etc will ensure that. He has a year on his contract - that doesn't help. Positives are, he is settled, not far from home, plays every week, gets picked for England & I think he doesn't appear from what I have seen on Twitter, Instagram etc to be a complete & utter tool!! Hope he stays, signs a contract & gets even better!

I don't think there is any doubt that Ramirez has lots of ability. I think we have seen glimpses of it, but not enough. I think the same is true of Elia & Djuricic. For most of Sunday Djuricic was a passenger. So IMHO I would not sign either Elia or Djuricic & I would let Ramirez leave if we can get someone to pay up. That leaves wage space in the squad. Don't get me started on Osvaldo............................................... If we make Europa we can blood Gallagher, McQueen, Hesketh, Seager etc

Interesting. I thought Gazzaniga would have been on that list too. Good luck to all of them! Without Jos we wouldn't have got into the PL. Boruc certainly was an improvement on what we had.

Yes its all 'ifs' & 'buts', but I have to say the way Kevin Friend influenced the Liverpool game is more than luck or maybe's. It was blatant ineptitude or downright cheating!! Forster injury & not getting another striker in January were the reasons we didn't finish 5th in my opinion. IMHO we have a starting 11 that can compete with anyone. The big difference between us & the 6 teams who finished above us is squad size. Hate to think how much City's bench cost on Sunday, £75m at a guess! We will get injuries through the season & that's when the other teams have a distinct advantage.

First half we were very poor. Second half much better, but they could have been four or five up by then. Djuricic & Pelle were rubbish. Special mention for Kelvin Davies who made some outstanding saves. Disappointing, but still a great season.

Loved it! We went back to 4-5-1 (4-3-3) & we were a lot better than last 3 games. Great day!
