and other than an OK spell at Oldham that is about all he's done! was it the longest lucky winning streak in history? - quite possibly! Dowie was a disaster at QPR, Crystal Palace after promotion and way beyond that at Chartlon! and on the integrity stakes he actuallu makes Glen Hoddle look good!
-
He being Ironic - have to say I'm not sure if you got that bit or not!
-
Have to agree with Fitzgugh on WGS Glen Hoddle is another matter - it was the way he did it without respect or integrity - not that he left us for Spurs. Mind you all he had to do was say sorry like Gorman did and he'd have been welcome back They did both walk out on us though And Strachan like Keegan is a quitter
-
Just don't get it do you Stu!
-
blimey I think Stu Romsey Saint migth actually be right about something for once!
-
one of the Misselbrook and Westons? M&W to you and me (Alldays after that!) probably not!

Who actually put us in Administration? Lowe, Barclays? Who? Without the 15 point deduction it brought the players might actually have pulled spomething out of the hat and survived - as it was their very fragiel morale couldn't take it and they rolled over and died! If we weren't in administration right now we be able to sell season tickets to raise some money to pay wages - and possibly hold a concert or two at St Mary's to raise more cash this summer. We'd also have been able to sell players like Rasiak, Dyer, Saga, Surman, Lallana, Schneiderlin and McGoldrick in the summer transfer window to lower our wage bill and rasie some cash to pay-off some off the debt! Renegogiating the mortgage on St Mary's was also an obvious next step to reduce our debts. It all seems so pointless for going £150K over an overdraft limit. It really has been a case of putting the cart before the horse! It's a simple question really! Would SFC have reduced its wage bill, repaid a chunk off the debt through selling players and holding concerts - and been in a more stable financial situation come the end of the summer? Simple answer is yes - so why put us in administration? Unfortunately it looks as though its game over for SFC because of a very short sighted decison by someone!

Matt Mills, Martin Cranie, Leon Best, Dexter Blackstock, Cedric Baseya, Theo Walcott, Gareth Bale
-
I think both Brian Howard and Wade Elliott were on free transfers the summer we got relegated from the Premier League both Saints fans and both good players - I had no idea at the time why we didn't try to sign them both could also have signed Frank Simek on a free as well
-
I'd prefer he didn't to be honest - too expensive by far I would expect - not too mention rubbish distribution, inability to deal with long or high balls into the box and he's been lobbed/chipped about 6 times this season oh - he is a great shot stopper though! let Bialkowski and Forecast fight it out for the number 1 shirt!
-
I still have no idea why we signed John and Euell at that time we probably should have sold Skacel and Rasiak as well Jones and Bale - not brought in more high earners - to balance our books leaving us with BWP and Saga upfront - with the addition of a couple of younger abd cheaper players on loan fron the premiership or bought from League 1 clubs!
-
Keegan lost it a long time ago he was wrong to go back to Newcastle - he was out of touch and well past his sell by date sure he did a great job at Fulham, Newcastle the first time around and City - but he seems to hit a wall - and then quit under pressure if he'd still been in real football when Newcastle came calling he might have been up to it - but he wasn't - and was out of touch and living in a different era a big mistake on all sides!
-
and why didn't Lowe and Co have the same vision about the St Mary's site as Stoneham! Stoneham would have ended up like Pride Park or the Madjeski Stadium - a traffic nightmare on the edge of the town/city with nothing but a light industrial park or a supermarket near it at least St Mary's is in the city of Southampton, in the club's home ward and close to the town centre bringing people and money into the City every other Saturday I like being able to meet friends in town for a drink first, do some shopping and stuff with the rest of the gas works site, the gravel place and the industrial park around it St Mary's could be turned into soemthing special - a waterside St Marys Hotel, bars, restaurants, a Allsaints cafe Lowe just never had this visiob - or maybe the money
-
Lots of skeletons coming out of the cupboard now..

Blackstock would have made a difference though - look at what's he's done for Forest! An undoubtedly we would have finished a lot highger up the table under Crouch and Pearson and not have gone into administration thank you Mr Lowe and Wilde! -
what's the contract status of Joseph Mills and Michael(?) Poke? Mills is on loan at S****horpe and been offered another contract I think - although he may stay at S****horpe as they got promoted didn't they and he's actually out of contract!? Poke is on loan at Exeter I think but still under contract to us. I guess both could leave us
-
Don't forget Poke will be peobably coming back to us - as we extended his contract for another year for this very reason! There is probably no way we could afford the wages of players like Kelvin, BWP, Saga, Skacel, Rasiak, Euell and BWP in League 1 - so those not out of contract will be gone on loan or frees! I wouldn't be surprised if that applies to Wayne Thomas as well! So expect him to go on loan to a CCC club! Personally I'd like to see the back of Wotte, Saejis and Ryan Smith - so I hope they move on as well! We need a new management team, a fresh start and a different approach! We should be looking at bringing in players like Phil Ifil for right back to complete with Hatch - leaving James to play in midfield - and Mark Yeates to play upfront with a bit of pace, power and presence! Both are at Colchester - in their early 20s and capable of playing at a higher level. They are the type of players we are missing - players between the age of 24-28 - at or near their peak - and with the potential to play at a higher level. We should get rid of nearly all the old carthorses if we can!
-
Surman wants to go and Reading are interested
-
I have a feeling Skacel and Saga will leave on free transfers next week - probably to Hertha Berlin and Legia Warsaw followed shortly by Dyer and Rasiak for small fees to Swansea and Watford! and then Euell leaving early for some team in the USA - with Kelvins and BWPs contract being ripped up a month or so early - and Wotte and Saejis heading back to Holland I have a feeling Gasmi, Molyneux, Lancashire, Paterson and co will play against Forest Gasmi will then probably head back to Strasbourg, whilst Schneiderlin moves on to Arsenal
-
Who else feels the current group of players - certainly the higher earners - should donate at least a months wages to Save Our Saints? BWP, Euell, Davis, Saga, Skacel, Rasiak, Dyer, Surman and Co should do something to return the support the fans have given them over the whole sorry season - and particularly the last couple of weeks! Even a weeks wages would go a long way to keeping the club afloat long enough to find a buyer - and save the club! Maybe some of them should agree to mutually terminate their lucrative contracts on Tuesday 5th May - with no pay-off - leaving them free to find another club and give SFC a chance of survival! And what about ex-players! How far would a week or a months wages from Walcott, Baird, Beattie, Bridge or Bale go giving the club a lifeline!?! SFC helped to make them what they are - shouldn't they now do what they can to try and save SFC for its supporters! It would take just one of them to start the ball rolling!
-
I have a feeling Skacel is already gone - hence the non-appearance on Saturday and Saga is all but gone - both on free transfers abroad I would guess BWP, Davis, Euell and Smith are all out of contract - and will all be gone I hope. Kelvin may be a good shot stopper but we need someone who can command the box and distribute the ball a lot better than he does. Besides Poke will be back and we've got Forecast as well Bialkowski is on loan and out of contract! Saejis and Wotte are out of contract as we got relegated - so there gone - and good riddane I say! Stern is on loan and out of contract - so he's gone already! Dyer and Rasiak will be gone by next week - on cheap transfers to Swansea and Watford! Gasmi's loan is over - and I expect he'll go back to Strasbourg in France. Schneiderlin will go to Arsenal's reserves or some other premiership team. Lallana, Surman and McGoldrick will leave for CCC teams!
-
Telfer left Bournemouth by mutual consent as he was injured and couldn't play - so he wouldn't be taking a wage for doing nothing I've talked to him a couple of times in Starbucks about this, Saints and why WGS left he's a down to earth bloke
-
Cheltenham Town and Swindon are hardly what you call big clubs - and with the greatest of respect League 1 is their level and the clubs owners probably know that! the fanbases and the facilities at either clubwouldn't support a premiership team! bit like Reading and Wigan - unless the owner is willing to fund the club and underwrite a awful lot of debt they probably wouldnt throw bad money after good - that's why they are rich men! Saints in comparison are a big club with a premier league set up - and if the club was being run properly and too its potential should be in the top tier! so there could actually be a return on the money invested personally if I was rich I'd do it just because I was a fan - but I'd also know once in the premier league it would be sustainable a colleague at work is a very good friend of Andrew Black at Swindon - I've asked him to speak to him about buying a real football club!! they were meeting up this weekend so you never know!!!!
-
the two games I've seen Saejis play he was bloody awful! one of the few good points about going down was that Wotte and JP were going to be on their way back to Holland
-
Surely no friend of Redknapp is a friend of Saints they are certainly no friend of mine!
-
What are Saints players current transfer values
Rebel replied to The Fat Controller's topic in The Saints
Skacel has got a year to run - we'll either loan him out or let him go on a fee John - is out of contract in the summer Bialkowski is out on loan and out of contract in the summer - he's already gone! Gasmi is only on loan with us until the summer Rasiak has a year to go but has probably already been sold to Watford Smith is out of contract BWP is out of contract Saga has got a year to run - we'll loan him out or let him go on a free Davies will be gone for a minimal fee - probably to Ipswich we might get some money for Schneiderlin, Surman, Lallana and McGoldrick though
