I think you're quite right. And by quite right, I do of course mean mental
-
Exactly the response I was hoping to hear from the club. Hopefully we can rest assured that any speculation we might see or hear, whilst under our current ownership and management, is exactly that - nothing more than speculation. I'll keep reading the gossip but I'm not going to believe anything until the club itself makes an announcement. Glad AP is still with us - hopefully for many years to come

Whilst I'm not sure there is any substance behind the story at all, it raises more questions for me about the chairman than the manager...
-
Never. On the basis that I hate his goal celebration so much, seeing him do it in a Saints shirt would make me want to vomit. Same goes for Rob Earnshaw, funnily enough
-
your points total comes to 79, but we're on 70. You're missing a point somewhere.

Saints 4-1 Carlisle - 2010 JPT Champions - Reaction

Paint pot trophy or not, I wasn't prepared for how emotional it was to see my team pick up a trophy at Wembley. I've had a fantastic day. Southampton til I die -
If they were $k@tes, there would be vitriol all round and everyone clamouring for them to get somewhere between 20 years and life. As they're Saints, they're bizarrely compared to war heroes. I didn't see any incidents myself and I'm sure that there is a flaming on the way, but I'd like to think that anyone that anyone acting like a twonk on the day will be dealt with in the manner of a twonk, no matter what their colours. That's right - twonk

Ok Alan....Now pick the same starting line-up for all remaining games
Judge_B replied to trousers's topic in The Saints
What does he do at the point where that team fails to win a game, and everyone jumps on the fact we keep playing the same old players? How does he appease the armchair manager at that point? And how is Pulis going to make the starting XI if he keeps putting out the same side? -
Why, who was he supposed to be marking?
-
No, it was a half volley from the edge of the box that went in off the referee. It always looks different on telly
-
He looks awkward and ungainly, and his warm-up routine is dreadful. He seemed to win a lot of headers though, and his positioning was good. I liked him, but that's the first I've seen of him
-
Just got back. Should have put it to bed before half time, Brentford came out firing and don't look like a bad side. Barnard's miss at 1-0 left you feeling we might pay for it. Kelvin MOTM by quite a distance. Honourable mentions to Antonio and Seaborne

Have I missed a debacle somewhere? I hate missing debacles. You couldn't recap on exactly what the debacle was for me, could you? Thanks
-
That's funny, some on here strike me as the sort of parent that sees their child give it their all, come home from the exam with a B and shout in their face "NOT GOOD ENOUGH! GET TO YOUR ROOM!!" Still, nice analogy, well done you
-
Is that what happened, then? First I've heard of it, though I will confess now to not having every post in this thread... I'm not sure as to Sky's eagerness to break the story either, without confirmation from either club. This story is only of interest to a very small percentage of the football world, surely? Albeit a small percentage of which we are part...

If Sky News reported that a plane had crashed, only to retract it later on after finding that it had only nearly crashed, people would think they were idiots. On the reporting of the Ward transfer, I think they were idiots

If Rage Against The Machine can be Christmas no.1 then I don't see why they can't be a hit in the stands too You've been to the pub You're now in the club You're buying a pint at the bar You've got a bullet in your bum...

Jon Otsemobor signed on 6 month contract
Judge_B replied to The Fat Controller's topic in The Saints
Indeed. Wonder why Norwich gave him the bullet? Hope he's not going to be a pain in the backside -
Mentally challenged, nice. Happy New Year to you too. Bit of rigourous debate too much for you, get you a bit upset? It's ok, I'll ignore you after I've posted this too. You want him to be a success? Welcome him to the club, and suspend your belief for a fraction of a second that you know better than those that are employed to spot talent that might improve the squad
-
I'm sorry, I interrupted. You were saying how you thought he might be a disappointing signing because you thought he had a bad game once and that some people on the internet said they didn't think much of him? Do go on...
-
And I'm the only person offering a different opinion to yours? Nope, seems people are capable of individual though. Who'd a thunk? Open your eyes, and ask yourself who is better placed to make this call - you, or the club. Again, I'll put my faith in them. And maybe let the signature on the contract dry before giving the new bloke a hard time. Cheers
-
I think YOU'RE disappointed that we seem to have missed out on Ward. I think the rest of us are putting our faith in a management team that have done very well so far, and are hopefully not basing their opinion on whether he played well or not against us
-
Anyone that backed us to win otonight, take your ticket to the bookies tomorrow and try and get them to pay out. I think that should give the answer...
-
The ref totally chickened out of the shove on Connelly. None of the officials covered themselves in glory, be they male or female
-
Funnily enough, I didn't think we were that great todaay. Which isn't a problem, I don't mind winning like that. Connelly was fantastic, Perry and Bart look vulnerable, which probably isn't news to anyone. Walsall fans must have got in for free, didn't seem to want to be there...
