we are going up, say we are going up!!!!!!!!! hahahahahah more beer!!!!!!!!

i agree... clearly alpine_saint does know what he is talking about!

"Phillips was also one of the best performers relegation season and showed some fight. If he'd been fit all season we'd have been alright, likewise Crouch and Beattie, and Pahars. Losing all 4 at times was fairly unlucky, and Niemi, and Svensson, and Oakley. Harsh..." i'd forgot quite how injury ravaged we were that season, it all went wrong that season didn't it... if only crouchie had gone for the corner eh!

not a good performance but we won so move n i say. we scored at the perfect time - just after their chap was sent off - as we did very little to break them down after that and 0-0 was the most likely outcome btw the little i saw of forte impressed me...

+1 hehehe

a really good performance against a reasonable posh. we did seem to struggle to dominate midfield, didn't really get much of the second ball, but when our midfield did get the ball, they were more effective. I'm not the biggest fan of chaplow but i think today was his best performance! Chamberlin started like a rocket but fizzled out after 20 mins.... we sit quite high up and can see the shape and spaces, he got into all the right positions, but wasn't passed to enough. big mention to hammond and the 2 full backs who both played really well after a couple of shakey previous performances and have some people forgotten davis save at 20 mins to keep it 0-0 - awesome save top calls well done kelvin My MoM? - Hammond all in all a great display today - bring on Brighton!!!!!
-
butters is class - defo in my team tbh if/when we go up, there aren't going to be wholesale changes are there - its not as if the board will fund a whole new team - i would say most first team would play with us bringing in an initial 3-4 better players at most
-
meh - no overly bothered either way. he was better tuesday nite, but against poor opposition. good cover but would hope we'd get better in Jan
-
me 2 - the only quality they had i thought
-
hehe - i just wrote the same! ru me? where do you sit b'cos clearly you see it the same as me!
-
not bad - our RB didn't have a good game at all. right from the start he looked way off the pace. i am sure with more games he will improve but would have butterfield back ASAP against anyone good... chaplow was ok - ran about a lot and did some good work. best game so far it think for him - but just ok lallana & 'the ox' were great and i thought Lambert showed a lot more of his old self last night 4 goals can't be bad!!! bloody lucky - happy days! COYRs

i was there, just before anyone ask! chaplow was poor - hammond to play next game for sure & barnard should start with Guly, time for lambert to warm the bench - IMHO of course! ;-) i sit up high normally and you get a great very of the gaps and players runs and i think see a lot more of the real picture however watched a bit of this game at pitch level & you get such a different perspective - it is no wonder people argue different players have different impacts on games i watched chaplow and didn't think he had a great game - i'd be really interested to find out where those people who thought he played well, actually sit to see if there is something in that??? anyone what to comment???
-
Great for us and we all lived his crazy ways! - we actually had not a bad bunch of players at the time and he was able to get the best from them. i didn't think we were boring either - but a guess not losing so often made it more interesting!!!!
-
+1 and the 'WHO????....' always makes me smile. i know its not as funny as when david beckham used to run on, but still.... cheer up lads!!!
-
nah tbh i saw it the other way round - chaplow ran about a lot but didn't do much in the tackle and when he had his chance really should have done better. would like to see him play again though however thought hammond ran the show
-
really good team display today everyone excelled, except chaplow who i didn't think had that much impact. while not MOTM, special mention in dispatches for puncheon who worked really hard - clearly better on that side and has a better relationship with butterfield than with harding also after scoring i thought Lambert came alive... he touch was soooo much better.... shows u what a bit of confidence can do eh.... i'd be pleased with Phil Brown as r manager tbh
-
so its bascally b'cos you think he is a poor manager (despite his record) b'cos nothing else has any relevance. the headset is so he can speak to his assitant in the stands looking down on the pitch with a better view. i think its a very good idea - if you actually went to a game and sat up high you'd notice what a good overal picture you get. much easier to see how differetn areas can be exploited than at pitch level
-
agree - i don't think Brown would be bad TBH - he wants the job which is a start, and you have to be fair, he did a good job with Hull
-
yes - i said it on here recently, but it was his mistakes that led to the plymouth and orient goals
