I would expect the opening games to have around 10,000 - this is League One, people don't want to watch the level of football and we'll be down to the real core of the support. If results go well we may push this up to around the 15,000 mark. If the new board budgets any higher than this then they're mad.

SFC has shares, they're not publicly traded though. SLH is the sole owner of all shares in SFC. Selling SFC involves selling all of the shares (currently held by SLH) to another party. By "all of" this may only mean 1 share.

Over and above the obvious of stability ...
The Incongruous Monk replied to Sold To The Man @ The Bar's topic in The Saints
It would perhaps help keep ST holders if they were offered a 1-2% discount for each consecutive year they have held the season ticket, up to a maximum of say 10-15%. 10% of £350 is less than the price of 2 games. So it wouldn't make a massive dent in the funds unless massive numbers reach 10 years consecutive season ticket holding, and if that was the case income would be pretty good anyway. -
Documentation here btw: http://www.football-league.co.uk/page/PublicationsDetail/0,,10794~634054,00.html Check out the "Insolvency Policy" section

Indeed :-)

Football League rules require us to be out of Admin by the second Saturday in May or we could face further sanctions (including removal from the league).

Kelvin hopeful of staying?
The Incongruous Monk replied to Ivan Katalinic's 'tache's topic in The Saints
I don't have one. Just a rumour that's been floating around a few mates. -
http://www.guardian.co.uk/football/blog/2009/apr/28/southampton-championship-relegation-administration I think there's a thread on this somewhere already.

This would be great, especially seeing as I was under the impression he already had one foot at Leicester. -
According to the Insolvency Policy of the FL as published here http://www.football-league.co.uk/staticFiles/f2/8f/0,,10794~102386,00.pdf. We could be kicked out of the League if this isn't sorted soon. Also I note from above that not being in Administration is no grounds for appeal against the docking of points due to being in administration. Nice.

Strange rumour on Chester fans forum ...

This is the important bit though. Without that gamble would we have a £6m overdraft? The very same overdraft that ultimately bought us down. -
West Ham Parent co in Administration

Not to mention an events management company, and until recently as radio station and a financial services company. -

Where Will the Creditors Get Their Money From?

What's also worth remembering is that although the PLC is almost entirely football related now that's due to a large amount of consolidation in the last few years in an attempt to stave off this situation. We've offloaded financial services, broadcasting etc. The other point to remember is that from a legal point-of-view a holding company and a company they own are distinct separate things. The clubs view seems to be we have a strong LEGAL case rather than a strong footballing case. Unfortunately I think if the league impose sanctions there will be a (potentially lengthy) appeal from the club and lord knows how that will end. The FL will be praying we get relegated right now as that'll make their position a lot easier. -
Points deductions, the FA and the big picture
The Incongruous Monk replied to WealdSaint's topic in The Saints
It'll be this season if we find enough points to stay up. It only applies next season if we're relegated. -
It seems to quite clearly say the club will help decide the selection panel (comprising a maximum 2 people from the club) who will then be free to chose whomever they please for the remaining members. It's saddening, if not suprising, that most people's reaction to this seems to be "How can we use this to **** off Lowe and Wilde?", perhaps that's a reflection of the cynicism of fans after the last few years but it's also pretty petty. There's contant moaning that the club doesn't listen and doesn't communicate, then when there's a chance to make things better people are too cynical to give it a try. There's an apathy here that's totally depressing. If people want change, they have to work for change. It won't just happen. Why can we not assume this is an honest and well-meaning move from the club and go from that angle. Perhaps then, with a little patience, we can - as fans - help move this club forward.

2-0 to Birmingham. They need to up their game and will. Our boys will be starting to tire. If we're lucky Birmingham's home form will continue to be poor and we might nick something. However, poor form counts for nothing when you're playing Saints. Looking at the other fixtures for tomorrow I fear we could slip backwards down the table again without a win :-(
-
8 points from these 5 games would be a great return but I feel survival calls for at least 10. We're behind on points and games and a fair few of those around us have upped their game. Each games is now the next "must win". 3 points against Cardiff and it's game on. Anything less and I'll probably give up again :-)
-
The deadline is the 3rd week in March. So a few weeks left...
-
Looks like we've allowed Watford to crap on us with this one. That gives us 4 games in 9 days. Which is daft. I'm amazed there isn't a better Tuesday/Wednesday to play this.
-
The hope is almost gone. Failure to secure 3 points tomorrow and there's no chance it's coming back this season. :-(
-
Up to £350 and I'm probably in for next season. Over that I'd have some serious thinking to do.

18p a share, surely now the time is right!!
The Incongruous Monk replied to thorpie the sinner's topic in The Saints
If he can convince someone to sell yes. However, he'd be mad and it would only serve to help oust Lowe. The club wouldn't see any of that money so it's not the same as a direct loan. Also his loan proposition would pretty much remove the threat of Administration (pay off the o/d), thus protecting his £2m. He'll get it back someday (probably). Buying up shares could very easily lose him the lot. -

The Incongruous Monk replied to thorpie the sinner's topic in The Saints
True. But even at 20p a share 2 million share's is £400,000. There may come a point where £400,000 is a damn site more appealing than the nothing they'd be worth in administration.
