  1. Yep. The criticism of the kid has been harsh imo. My only concern with him was that I didn't see enough effort. He's always had a good touch, he's strong, makes decent runs, has some pace, can finish, and now has some self belief and confidence. We've got a decent player on our hands
  2. All of that is true, but the fact that their bloke wasn't closed down for their third (and runners weren't tracked for the other 2) doesn't alter that Baz was under their 3rd and should have done better. To put it another way, Baz can't be absolved of responsibility for what he was responsible for just because other players didn't do their jobs - all faults can fairly be highlighted.

  4. I think Baz himself would be disappointed about the first. Possibly the third as well.
  5. Were you there, or did you deduce that from the telly?
  6. Never in doubt. You wet fannies need to chill your beans and remember that half time ain't full time.
  7. Have faith. Long way to go. If they can score in a half, we've got 3 in us.
  8. Because they have.

I think collective punishment is a generous term for what's happening.

The plan has been transparent from the off. Smash the shit out of everyone and anything up north, push them south, repeat, push them further south, repeat, push them to Rafah, repeat. I find it genuinely staggering that people haven't seen that, and seek to defend what Israel have done and are doing. The sad inevitability is that Hamas won't ever be defeated as an ideology, and interestingly western media are finally making that point - the fella on itv news at ten last at night being one.

Yep. The sad truth is that most strikes probably do hit their target.

    Very sad. https://www.instagram.com/reel/C3ArnYquu3O/?igsh=dmx6dTI2MjJxMTY1
  15. Ditto. What impressed me as much was his dropping to the RB position, starting the move, making a lovely run, almost demanding the ball, then checking his run slightly ready to receive. The kid can play.
  16. You said you wouldn't want someone with Starmer's views in charge, or some such. The choice is him or Rishi so unless I'm missing something, you'll have to plump for Rishi if Starmer offends you do much.
  17. Most people are. Starmer is. It was Sunak who keeps dragging this up. The masses don't give a monkeys about what Starmer thinks on this issue. As you say, it's gutter politics from a busted flush of a PM.
  18. So you'd prefer someone in charge who behaved like Sunak did in the commons? It's one or the other.
  19. Really? I don't think his views on that issue in any way shows his fitness to be PM. In contrast, Sunak's juvenile and misplaced crassness says a hell of a lot about his judgement.
  20. Yep, but even then, it's a point that doesn't take the Tories anywhere unless they're so desperate to run an election with trans attitudes as a live issue. Shit politics from a shit PM.

    What if....

I'll settle for no injuries or suspensions, and giving them a good game. We won't win, absolutely no chance, and it'll be interesting to see how we get on chasing the ball.
  22. Depends what sort of food you're after. If you want a Sunday roast, than nowhere in the centre, although Bacaro at ocean village is excellent.

Seems a curious use of vital resources.
  24. Hmm. Edozie on the bench is the highlight for me. Interesting to see if Charles plays CB or RB.
  25. It's on paramount+ in Australia so it'll be streamed. Alternatively, find someone with a paramount login, point a VPN to Oz, and Robert is your mother's brother.
