William Gallas, a CB, wearing 10 for Arsenal was a shocker.
-
I've been saying this for ages. He's slow at using the ball and slows is down massively. I think that's why he didn't make the Euro squad. If he's still here next season, it'll be the same again.
-
Not sure whether this summer, January or next summer, but him leaving soon feels fairly inevitable to me. Loyalty usually only lasts so long when the big carrots get dangled.

Behave. The identity of the lad is irrelevant to the point that Duck makes. It's a point that's correct. Players are sounded out through agents before bids are made. It's the norm. Armstrong. The club wouldn't waste it's time pursuing a player if they don't have an inkling that he'd join. Ditto Villa and JWP. If Villa are told that he's not going there unless the wages are insane, there'll know where they stand before making a bid.

Three points. 1. Why do you feel in any position to say everything you've said about taking the knee when a black Premier league player says that players are "being used as puppets" and won't be taking the knee himself? 2. Are your seriously saying that you can't see the link between the sudden willingness of (most) Brentford players to take the knee and their promotion to the Premier league? What's more likely, that someone has had a little word, or all of a sudden they don't think that they're being used as puppets? 3. Has it occurred to you that sponsors will want clubs and players to do what it is felt is the "right thing", ie sponsors are woke and pious like you and SOG.

Ivan Toney of Brentford said last year that his team weren't taking the knee as they were "being used as puppets". Brentford are taking the knee this year. Do you think that's because they want to and all of a sudden are happy to be "puppets" , or there's an obligation? https://www.skysports.com/football/news/11748/12221923/ivan-toney-explains-why-brentford-players-wont-take-a-knee-we-are-being-used-as-puppets

Absolutely. There'll be some rawness with this kid, but his raw ingredients look exceptional. If he just gives us a threat from the bench, that's more than Obafemi and Long give so we'll have an upgrade. From what I've seen and read, I think we'll have much more than that. I'm optimistic too. Our club are having a very good window.

You 2 had your little Messi, Iniesta, etc nonsense earlier, now this shite. We're looking likely to be getting the services of an incredibly talented striker and all you want to do is have a boring as fuck debate about semantics. Pair of sad cunts.
-
You're not helping your mate out here SOG, a true ally would suggest that he stays out of harms way.

This lad looks very good. He won't get anywhere near the Chelsea team for a while with Lukaku coming in, so him developing here and giving us a different option is a win/win. He's on 6 year contract so it wouldn't surprise me if this more than a season long loan, or a season with an option to extend.
-
The state of you 2 tarts derailing the thread by banging on about Messi, Iniesta etc.
-
This lad looks decent. Hopefully we can get young Broja in as well to give an alternative option. We've done well this window. Got loads of wages off our books, shifted Ings for top money, done a great bit of business with Livramento, and got a decent LB in too. Nice.
-
Because he's awful, and he'd be a terrible Ings replacement.
-
Or Theo gets pushed up top.
-
Since Ragingbull speculated that MLG could be CollinsDic, and I asked MLG whether he is, CollinsDic hasn't been seen seen. Could be a coincidence of course...
-
Yep, possibly a loan with an option...of another loan. Chelsea will like their players here on loan, Tuchel and Ralph's teams play in a similar way.
-
The lad isn't likely to make the Chelsea team while lukaku, havertz, pulisic, werner, etc, are there. He's on a very long contract and if we does well here and his path is still blocked there, everyone might want the loan extended.
-
Ha!!!! It'd probably finish better than Long though, and turn quicker than Vestergaard.

There'll be plans, but plans are contingent on circumstances beyond our control. We always knew Ings was going, the issue then was who to, at what price, and when. If Kane had left spurs, Ings may have gone there earlier. Out of our control. In the end he went to Villa, and the timing of that linked into the sale of Grealish. Also out of our control. When we were in a position to enter the market, so were others. Also out of our control. In addition, some targets will probably have already moved on or otherwise become unavailable. Also out of our control. I once really liked a house that was on the market. Sadly mine hadn't sold before someone else snapped it up. I'd planned to buy it, but alas circumstances worked against me. Football ain't any different.

That's a curveball and I know nothing about him. A loan of a youngster doesn't excite me though as we develop him for them. Loan with an option with a pre agreed price, now that'd be different. I wander if the rumours started from this article. He seems well thought of though - "watching Broja it is clear that he is someone special if given the right chances. Those chances won’t be at Chelsea with Lukaku signing, so it is very important to get him the right loan to develop" is encouraging. https://theprideoflondon.com/2021/08/05/chelsea-decide-tammy-abraham-armando-brojas-futures/amp/
