The team has tailed off for me. He's getting no service and looks frustrated. That Chelsea system wouldn't suit him though, he'd struggle in the way Lukaku has.
-
Me. He'll go this summer if we get a big offer. It'll give him 4 years or so at a big club and a chance for honours and to become an England regular. No "bed wetting" from me, until this season I've never been his biggest fan, but he's improved massively, and will be a big loss. He's settled in Otterbourne so my money would be on a London club, perhaps Chelsea as Cobham isn't far.

Yeah, but he's good. Small and average ain't a recipe for success in the Prem.

Good. We all know what's going on, and Ukraine can be covered without dominating day in day out. That said, I'm not sure who has any interest in what Corden is up to.
-
Yep, that Leicester are bigger and better than us at the moment shouldn't even be a discussion. That said, I agree with Lighthouse that I can't see him going to Leicester. My understanding is that he's on his way this summer though, no idea where, but I'm with Lord Duckhunter that I reckon he'll end up at a top 6 club, although I can't see him being a regular starter at any of them.

Yep. Manager signs average players and gets a tune from them, so the manager must be shit and the players demi gods. Odd.

Err...ok mate. I'm not sure I've heard anyone say Pep is a fraud. Of those Newcastle signings, Targett, Wood, and Burn wouldn't get near a top 4 side. They were the best Newcastle could get in those positions and all credit must go to Howe for getting results with them and the rest of his squad. Don't get me wrong, Bruno is some player, but don't be trying to convince anyone that Howe has been gifted elite signings because he hasn't.

To be fair, we've been shocking recently and they've been very good. 180 degrees turnaround at both clubs, albeit in opposite directions. They've done well, sadly.

You misunderstand. They both suffered / suffer with the same thing, alcoholism. Their respective life journeys are different, the same can be said of every alcoholic, but the common thing is the illness of alcoholism. That is the single illness that drives alcoholic drinking.

I won't respond to all, but in the real world, yep, I'd tell someone what I think of them. In here people are anonymous to a point, but to refer to people as strangers who some of us have interacted with for years is a stretch. In real or virtual life, idiots will get called out. The idiots have to suck it up, although I doubt in real life they'd behave that way and save their goading and nonsense for the safety of the virtual world.

There was some cracking stuff back them, and some sheer crazy stuff. All that stuff you mentioned, tubgirl or what ever it was, brilliant. As much as I like a bit of the political stuff in the lounge, there should be no place for it on the main forum imo - personally I'd shut down anything like that, plus threads like the Broja one which has run its course.

I'm not sure banning is the way. Have a word, shut threads, delete posts, but banning feels ott to me. Threads like this are a form of member moderation which helps as it gets the point across and focuses minds. Fair play @SaveloyMush 👍

Amen to that. I imagine some people check into threads, think sod that, and log off. I'm guilty of more than my share of tussling, and if I feel that way, I can only imagine that quieter posters may have reached the point of no longer bothering to get that far.
