Yep. Last season he had a euro place to play for, and either a new deal with us or putting himself in the shop window, but he looked like he'd rather be on the beach. If that wasn't enough motivation I'm not sure what is.

Seeing the wisdom in people being vaccinated, and the right of businesses to insist on its visitors being vaccinated and proving it, is not "backing" vaccine passports. I'm not sure how life isn't normal at the moment. I'm on holiday. Everywhere is open, and busy, people are wearing masks if they choose to but most aren't, kids are playing with random kids, it's normal. Next week I'll be back at work in an unmasked environment doing my job normally. I think the only "abnormal" thing I'm going to have to do anytime soon is show someone at St Mary's that I'm not a div and that I've had my vaccines. I'm not sure that we need to, or will do, anything other than boost the vaccines for as long as we have to. Apart from that, life goes on.

That would be true if he'd not had 2 loans away from the club in that time.

The problem is his wages I'd guess. A reserve team full back on £65k a week won't be easy to move on.

I agree. Pace, power, decent touch, turns well, can finish. He's been used as a 10 in pre season and I wander if that's where we'll see him more. If he can stay injury free he'll be an asset this season.

Can't see that. Jellybean is coherent and I'm not sure is a persona. I'm a pretty sure Collins Dic is a persona of one of the regulars, ditto the other anti vaxer JRM. Both aren't ever seen in the same room as likely candidates.

Surprised by a CB, unless 3 at the back is seen as an option. Attack wise I'm guessing he's planning around what we have. Long is our saviour.

Agreed. The concept is a good one. Last years B team was very young, and it looks like it'll be even younger this season. Those kids need experience around them from someone who's still got 90 mins in his legs. Ollie has that and having him on the pitch will help out boys massively. The role is also ideal for someone who's an aspiring coach. I suspect that Ollie has aspirations in that department, and can keep playing (to a fashion) whilst learning his trade. Very good move for me.

I forgot about Clyne, very good player and still only 30. I think a lot depends on where his head is at.
