Anecdotally, people I know who were double vaccinated and got covid shortly after were all OK describing the effects of the jab as worse than the virus. I know a couple of people who have had it more recently but had their jabs a while ago, who have been very poorly. Don't get me wrong, this could be down to the individuals, but I'll take an extra shot if its offered.

Exactly. It's a constantly changing situation. Cases were increasing before the schools went back so we can see where that's going. Autumn is all but here, many people's immunity is down as they've been slathering anti bac over themselves and living in bubbles so flu will be a bigger issue than it normally is. If doing nothing ain't the answer, and everyone agrees that lockdown shouldn't be the answer, then a booster jab feels like the obvious answer. I'm not persuaded by jabbing kids though as everything I've read says that jabbed and unjabbed people carry the same viral load anyway. Regardless, I'll carry on living a normal life. Work today, iow festival from tomorrow staying in a shared house, hugging and kissing etc. I'll have a flu jab next week, and take the booster if it's offered. What I don't get is people getting hot and bothered by the issue. Get on with life and either take the booster or don't if you're offered. I especially don't understand whingeing about the issue if you don't have an issue with the booster, seems a bit futile.

Yep, it's not a bad idea, and kids getting to watch a game either cheap or free is much better than seeing empty seats. I'm with you and Saint Garrett too as to why the ground is not full. Pricing is the only part of that which the club can do anything about, but they're hamstrung to a large extent as there'd be hell to pay of casual fans are paying less than the season ticket pro rata price.

Players that can do that are few and far between. I disagree. Full backs don't dictate games. CM's do. Full backs aren't as important as keeping the ball out of the net as a decent keeper. We needed a better CM or keeper more than we needed a full back. Don't get me wrong, the Livramento business was brilliant, but if I had a choice of KWP plus a better CM or keeper, or Livramento and what we've got, it'd be option 1 all day long.

It's easy to understand, but your analogy avoids the point that our team is no stronger with Livramento rather than KWP in the team. It would have been stronger with a better CM or keeper.
