  1. I can't be any clearer than I have been. He has been convicted. I have no wish to comment on hypothetical matters, or indeed explore the evidence, or put forward evidence to prove something that's already been proven. Re the names. Your position and approach to this matter, imo, is stupid / moronic / ridiculous etc. I offer no apology if you disagree.
  2. FFS!! You're nuts pal. I'm not calling to have his knighthood revoked, merely I think it's a surprising award given the serious conviction he has received from a French court. I have no need to, or interest in, attempting to re prosecute the case on a forum to a moron
  3. Are you for real? I'm not the one judging him one way or the other. I'm merely pointing out that a court have, and found him guilty. You seeking to play internet judge/jury is ridiculous.
  4. He did beat her. The court concluded so. I mean no disrespect mate, but you are doing yourself no favours here. Sometimes it's best to walk away and stop digging.
  5. If the theme of your posts are not questioning the conviction then I have no idea what point you're trying to make, but to my mind you're talking boll0cks. The fella was convicted by a court in a civilised country of hitting her like 20 times. His maintaining of innocence, and showing no remorse, makes it worse rather than better.
  6. I followed the thread mate. The inconsistency is breathtaking. Seems to be one rule for cricketers, another for footballers. Boycott is a convicted woman beater who's shown zero remorse. That's not complicated.

  9. So you're retrying his case based on what yiu read now? Nuts. Ched Evans is different altogether. Firstly it's a completely case with entirely different facts so of no relevance to any other case, plus its was successfully appealed. Boycott case was years ago and the conviction stands. I have no opinion on what happened in that hotel, but a conviction is a conviction, and you're in no position to deem the conviction unsafe cos he said he didn't do it.
  10. It's not one word against the other, it's the court finding him guilty thus he isn't innocent. I haven't got an issue in principle with convicted criminals getting a knighthood, time moves on and people should as well, but his ongoing unwillingness to accept his conviction makes his knighthood a no no for me.
  11. That's the most random list of left backs! I'm not sure if you ever saw Benali play, but if so I'm staggered that you rate him a better player than Targett or Colleter. Of your random choices, based solely on how they played for us in the league we were in at their best for us (so rating Fox as a championship player not PL) I'd say: 1. Shaw 2. Bertrand 3. Fox 4. Targett 5. Harding 6. Colleter 7. Benali 8. Gregory Vignal
  12. That's always the plan but the teams have to be competitive for the players to improve in game situations. Getting spanked 8-2 at Everton, and losing most games, is not competing and doesn't help the lads kick on.
  13. We really can't, they're not a good crop of players. Jaidi did well with last years group but he won't get much out of this group.
  14. A shame for Hesketh and Lincoln perhaps, but well deserved for him and his brother. They've had a good apprenticeship in the lower leagues, been successful, and absolutely deserve to move up the pyramid.
  15. I have no interest in other clubs - our u23 team looks poor this season. To be fair to the lads who played last night though, they were all young (16 year olds playing) and a late defeat away to a league club is respectable.
  16. Yep, N'Lundulu looks a prospect. I'm with you on Klarer. I've seen him several times and don't see what other people claim to see. His positioning, touch and distribution aren't great. I've watched out u21/23/reserves for years and this is not a good crop sadly.
  17. Missed two...both current Premier league teams so should've get them.
  18. I can't believe comments like this. He was left 2 on 1 so hedged his bets, he couldn't realistically do anything else.
  19. Loving the hindsight on here. When we signed him he was well thought of and a dutch international. Sure, his signing hasn't been a success, but he's not in the Carillo category of it being obvious that it wouldn't have worked.
  20. Good move. They play nice football and are going well. Hopefully he'll do well and get a permanent move.
  21. I don't think Hoj will play there. It'll be Danso LB in a 4 I reckon but f he does play wing back I'd expect him on the right with Cedric LB.
  22. No idea of how we compare, but that was a young team out tonight. Barnes is 22, Slattery and O'Driscoll 20, and the rest 16-19, including a 16 year old debutant and 17 year old keeper. Was a strange line up too - 6 defenders and only 4 on the bench. It's a bit of a mess.

    Nathan Redmond

Behave. JWP is disliked by fans who want cruyff turns, hard tackles or running around like a headless chicken. He's a decent footballer who's played well this season.
  24. Who says he's refusing to play?! I get that he wants a move, but that's completely different to going on strike. If you're suggesting that because you believe he's on strike that we should just bin him off, that's ridiculous.
  25. You're comparing a peach with a cabbage mate. Vvd was massively in demand and sulked until he got the move he had lined up. Lemina seemingly has nothing lined up so has to put himself on display.
