1. 14th 2. Quarters 3. 5th round 4. Adams 5. Redmond 6. One of the academy will come good...Vokins to stand out. 7. I have zero interest in what they do. I think it'll be a tough ish season but without any real danger of the drop. We'll play some great stuff and lots of academy players will come in and hold their own. Lack of involvement will persuade some of the remaining dead wood to move on in January allowing us to build a bit next summer.

Not sure that's the only plausible reason for him going, but I agree that in the context of the clubs budget, the salary of the assistant manager has to be miniscule. I don't buy the money reason for this.
-
Exactly. Being supportive of anti Israeli factions is a mile away from being anti Jewish. I don't like the conduct of the Chinese government but I'm not anti-Chinese, ditto Venezuela, throw in Trump/America too.
-
Explain how being anti Israeli is the same as being anti Jewish (ie anti-Semitic). There's a fundamental difference. Link me to anything that he has said or done that is anti Jewish - not anti Israeli. Left/Right/Middle political allegiances is completely irrelevant. For what it's worth, I think Corbyn is an idiot, but he's not an anti-Semitic idiot.

I'd get help mate.

Nonsense. He was third when we had absolutely top drawer CB's. Since then he's improved immeasurably and whilst he'll never be a VVD or Alderweireld, he is a decent premier league CB. He deserves a place on merit. The issue is who plays alongside him - Bednarek is decent but has his limitations, Vestergaard is painfully slow, Stephens is painful and Hoedt is Hoedt.

Nice summary Del!

Two different points there. I despise the attitude and actions of the Israeli government, but I have Jewish friends. I'm not anti semitic and would be disappointed to be labelled as such. Corbyn, I believe, is similar and I've seen nothing to suggest that he is anti semitic. Whether he has racist friends I'm unsure, but his friends beliefs and values are exactly that, they're not his.

The club did not set out its transfer policy as such at the fans forum, rather that new players were wanted and that we needed to get players moved on. To me it's obvious that the 2 are linked (ie the message has been let's trim the squad) and as a result that the club won't make significant moves in the market without players going first - we have a ridiculously large squad that has to be trimmed and adding players without reducing numbers first does not achieve that objective.
-
How do you know that Forster does not want to play football? Any links?

I prefer the type of irony that has an element of humour to it. Or some actual irony.
-
Yep. Call things as they are. Not as you hope/want/expect/presume etc.
-
I'm not sure how/why you lurched from a few posters giving due credit, to a rant against "bedwetters".
-
You've added a lot of vat to what's been said! The reality is that the lad has been given credit where its due - give it a try.

Or they would be if it was a million a day, not a week!! Sunday morning head on. Either way, nobody could blame him for taking the cash
-
He's done it all and the idiots are apparently offering a billion pounds over 3 years. Nobody can criticise him if he takes the money.
-
How about the Brentford game? May well have played in that.
-
There is a player in there, anyone who's watched him has seen it. The goals he's scored, and his technical ability, are evidence of its needed. He's not been consistent though, but he's arguably not had a fair crack of the whip. Personally I'd give him a go rather than sell him cheap or sending him out on loan. If he gets chances and doesn't step up then reassess in the Jan window. We've got nothing to lose in my opinion.

The Scott Sinclair of CB's no less.

Ooh, you're a touchy fecker. I'm all for sensible debate mate, but your style of getting personal when someone challenges what you post is pathetic. If you really feel that you have a valid point then support it, if not, how about winding your neck in.
-
Who will buy them on their wages? Suppose we do sell them, and can't then get someone decent? What about we get a new one first but can't shift anyone and we're left with 7? If only it was as simple as you believe.
-
Whatever, they are a sh1t team.
-
Behave. Looking composed in a friendly against a Chinese pub team does not make someone ready for the Premier league.

Cheers Manji. So 10/10 for intent / attitude but 3/10 for application.
