Get to a game sometime, you'll hopefully get to see you what actually happens.
-
It's not as simple as that as I'm sure you appreciate. If/where he plays depends who we're playing and form of other players. We could go with 3 up top and he'd go out wide with 2 of Adams, Redmond or Ings. If we set up like we did today its hard to find a place for him.
-
1. That's not what was said. 2. An "investment" is not sinking personal monies into a football club. Dumping cash into a footy club for it to sign players ain't an investment.
-
Better perhaps, but we need pace against Liverpool so Long is much better suited than Ings imo.
-
Have Cardiff paid the transfer fee yet?
-
I was. I agree that we're short at defensive mid but I just don't think Reed is up to standard. Slattery is more of an 8 or 10 so he won't offer cover for defensive midfield and and as you say he's more likely to cover more attack minded players. Reed's level is the championship and he's probably a decent cash cow - cost us nothing but other clubs pay him and give us a loan fee. Hopefully he'll do well again this season and get himself a decent move.
-
You question whether Slattery is good enough but advocate playing a 24 year old who, if good enough, would have made it by now. Having Slattery as our main back up doesn’t suddenly make Reed a PL player.
-
He's not good enough and it's not helping the lad to keep him around just in case he gets a few minutes here and there.
-
I'm with you on the last part, Vest is shocking and Stephens just not a PL player. Can't agree on Bednarek though, he's decent and if we're going 4 at the back then I'd pair him with Yoshida who should be playing. The new lad may be decent, but a debut as part of a new back 4 against Liverpool is no time to experiment. Cedric in a 4 is a no from me. Although he has pace, his lack of height would be a major issue, especially of he's marking Origi. Alexander - Arnold would ping crosses to that back post all afternoon.
-
So a change to a 4 from a 3 at the back, with 3 changes of players, 1 of then to a returning Hoedt or a debutant 20 year old, and dropping Bednarek who was the only CB who emerged from Burnley game with any credit. I know we all differ in opinion, but that's nuts.
-
Me neither. Its our shirt with our sponsors logo on. Unless that is the point, I don't get the point.
-
Yep, it's a sorry world, and kids carry stuff they shouldn't. Your point was that searching of the lad going into a footy match was 'improper'. You've now gone off at a tangent. He was searched, that's not improper, it's sensible and necessary. I'm not getting into a wider discussion about searching of youths.
-
If it's for security at a footy match it's entirely proper imo. We're not talking about some random grabbing his crown jewels in sainsburys.
-
Seriously? He should have saved the 3rd, and a better keeper would have kept out the 1st. I'm with you on the 2nd.
-
What's the issue? You know your nipper wasn't carrying anything he wasn't supposed to, but the stewards didn't. People are searched for a reason and I'm not sure why a 13 year old shouldn't get the same treatment as everyone else.
-
I'm convinced that you've convinced me. I think.
-
No. Mccarthy is better imo. How he didn't save the 3rd is beyond me. He made 1 save ffs.
-
He's not suggesting we drop Adams...he's playing him twice!!
-
That's what's I would do. Vestergard is too slow, Stephens utter sh1te, so don't play either. I'd rather sit 3 in front of a back 4 which has to include Yoshida.
-
Thanks. Found it. Wish I hadn't though.
-
Where's today's game mate? I've signed up and watching through lqt but can't see it anywhere...
-
It's not wrong though. Many of the people who whinge about the shirt will buy it.
-
Yes, messaged them earlier and been sent link to sideload onto fire box. Will trial next week and then commit to a year if it's decent. Thanks again ?
-
Cheers Dazza, I'll give that one a go ?

His reasoning leaves much to be desired - our issue, for me, is not firepower but the creativity to supply the forwards plus our defence and limited midfield options. I think he's failed to highlight our actual weaknesses. That said, I disagree about Brighton strengthening, they've had a cracking window. Maupay imo was the standout striker in the championship last season and offers more than Adams and Pukki who'll both do OK but Maupay is a notch above for me. Mooy is slight in build but he's a proven Premier league player who'll create chances galore for them.
