I'm not helping you move the goalposts to another part of the Bible. However, do some research as I've suggested, and you'll see reference to various bible stories that are widely felt to be allegory / metaphorical.

How some interpret the stories is a matter for them. However, if their interpretation is that Noah really built a big boat, it matters not to nobody else. The world won't end because that's what they believe. By the same token, the world won't end because you have a closed mind.

As others have said, your stubbornness is unreal. I hate to burst your bubble, but your understanding / interpretation may not be correct. An allegory, by its nature, is open to interpretation. Just dare to open your mind and do a bit of research into the metaphor interpretation.

"is the Noah and The Ark story a metaphor" Also substitute "allegory" for metaphor. Believe it or not, not everything is literal, or intended to be.

We've been here before. I asked how, for example, if someone prays for other people, and feels some peace from doing so, how that prayer could impact on you or others. Whether you ever accepted that the simple answer is that it doesn't, I can't recall and can't be arsed to look. Regardless, it's a personal belief Matthew, a personal choice, and has f*ck all to do with you. Just accept that you're not that important, and that people can believe in God, the Bible, religion if they wish.

It is not "worthwhile" for someone to choose to believe something only if it stands up to questions of others, and definitely not form someone on a footy forum. Matthew, this is as simple as if you do not wish to believe in God or the works of the Bible, then you don't have to. That's your choice. Others can believe in one or more of those 3 things if they wish. It's genuinely very sad that you cannot see the futility of arguing against other peoples choice to believe in something that millions of people choose to believe in.

Your last part re moving the goalposts nails it. There's no point addressing MLG's points because he won't accept it, but when he runs out of things to say he then throws another question out there, and repeats ad infinitum. He then pushed for answers when it was obvious that nobody could be arsed to see the cycle continue. Sadly, the discussion on here has flowed from MLG refusing to accept that people can have their individual beliefs. That has nothing to do with MLG or anyone. Refusing to allow people their own thoughts, opinions, and beliefs without feeling an entitlement to challenge is a pretty sad state of affairs.

I guess the issue is the TV camera positions. St Mary's is set up for it. Whilst Staplewood has some for the u18 and u23 games, I doubt they have the whole setup that sky etc would want for broadcast.
